期中复习之任务型阅读10篇 (苏州专用) Every year on March 5, China celebrates “Lei Feng Day”. As a non-Chinese person, I learned about Lei Feng once I came to China. The lesson is special and I’ll always remember it. One day, I was riding my bicycle down the street and a tire burst A passer-by saw this and kindly took me to a nearby bike stand for repair (修理). When we got there, I thanked him and asked what his name was in Chinese. He said, “I’m Lei Feng.” Not knowing who Lei Feng was, I said. “Well, thank you, Lei Feng.” He and the others at the bike repair stand all laughed (大笑) loudly. I stood there confused (困惑的). Why were they all laughing? A few months later, our Chinese teacher told us about Lei Feng, this hero of small acts of kindness and community spirit (精神). I remembered the man who took me to fix my bicycle. Then it was my turn to laugh. After this, I began to learn more about Lei Feng’s life. I think his spirit is important. I think in our daily lives we need people to lend a hand and show the “Lei Feng spirit” now more than ever. 1.When is “Lei Feng Day” in China? 2.What difficulty did the writer have in the story? 3.Tell what Lei Feng’s spirit is in your own words. A possible answer is that they just feel bored (无聊的). Why don’t we like feeling bored? What is boredom (无聊)? Boredom is a feeling. There are two kinds of boredom: meaningless and difficult. The first kind happens when we don’t find meaning in our actions. The second kind comes when people find it too difficult to do something. For example, students might say that “math is boring”. That is because it’s too difficult for them. Is boredom bad? Boredom is neither good nor bad. The most important is our good attitude (态度). For example, we may find a math problem boring. If we can’t deal with our feelings well, we might just give up and feel bad. But things change when we can control (控制) our feelings and try to solve the problem. Boredom can then become a good chance to learn new things. Are we more bored now? No, boredom is not a new thing. Over 2,000 years ago, people already felt bored. However, it’s now much easier to get away from boredom because of things like phones. But because we’re always using them, we might be worse at dealing with boredom. 1.How many kinds of boredom are there according to the passage? 2.What is the right way to face boredom according to the writer? 3.Apart from (除了) phones, how do you usually face your boredom? 1.2./Two. 2.We should have a positive/good attitude. 3.I usually read books. 1.根据“There are two kinds of boredom: meaningless and difficult.” 故填2./Two. 2.根据“The most important is our good attitude (态度).” We should have a positive/good attitude. 3. I usually read books. Imagine that you have woken up on the first day of your vacation. You enjoy a delicious breakfast, take a walk on the beach, and read the morning newspaper as you drink coffee. You are feeling happy and relaxed. But you may start to feel bored by the time the late afternoon comes around! If you have ever felt like this, you’re not alone. It turns out that having unlimited free time is not always as great as we expected. What is the best amount of free time for our happiness? Researchers tried to answer this question by surveying tens of thousands of people, collecting data on how they spent their time and how happy they were. After looking at the data, the research team found that having less than two hours of free time a day was not enough to be happy. People with under two hours of free time a day usually had more stress. It means that they were simply too busy with work to get their happiness. The fact that being too busy cuts happiness is true. It might lead to the answer that more free time is simply better. Surprisingly, having a lot of free time is not a panacea for happiness. People surely get a certain sense of joy from finishing tasks. Having more than five hours of free time a day makes us lose the sense of joy. It is in fact cutting our happiness. But I think it is how we spend our free time that matters. When free time is used in more active ways, like playing a team sport, then five or more hours a day can keep or even produce happiness. However, spending five or more hours of free time alone can stop happiness. 1.What does it mean if people have less than two hours of free time? 2.How do people get a certain sense of joy? 3.What will you choose to do in your free time? 1.It means that they were simply too busy with work to get their happiness. 2.People get a certain sense of joy from finishing tasks. 3.I will choose to play basketball with my friends. 1.根据“People with under two hours of free time a day usually had more stress. It means that they were simply too busy with work to get their happiness.” It means that they were simply too busy with work to get their happiness. 2.根据“People surely get a certain sense of joy from finishing tasks.” People get a certain sense of joy from finishing tasks. 3. I will choose to play basketball with my friends. Suzhou is home to top universities (顶尖大学) like Soochow University, Suzhou University of Science and Technology and Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, attracting students from all over the world. Suzhou is home to top universities (顶尖大学) like Soochow University, Suzhou University of Science and Technology and Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, attracting students from all over the world.
