拓展思考(示例)
Part 1
The story of the six-foot lane teaches us to be generous and kind to neighbours. When there is a problem, fighting is not the answer. Giving away a little can bring peace. The Zhangs and Wus both gave three feet, so they both won respect. It is better to be friendly than to be selfish.
Part 2
One time, my neighbour played loud music late at night. I felt angry at first. I decided to talk to him politely the next morning. He said sorry and turned it down. After that, we became good friends. I learned that talking solves problems better than arguing.
Part 3
Zhang Ying’s poem says that a wall is not worth fighting over. He asks why not give away three feet of land. The Great Wall is still there, but the emperor who built it is long gone. This means that power and walls do not last forever. It is better to be generous and keep good relationships with neighbours.
