九年级英语下册(人教版) Unit 10　You're supposed to shake hands. 第三课时　Section A(Grammar Focus­4c)—单元同步语法精讲精练 eq \x(句型：be supposed to do sth.) ►概念：be supposed to do sth.意为“应该/应当做某事”，相当于should do sth.，用来表示根据规定或传统习惯人们不得不做或期待发生的事。be supposed to中的to为动词不定式符号，后接动词原形，be动词有人称和时态的变化。 ►具体用法 ①当be supposed to...的主语是“人”时，意为“应该……，被期望……”，可以用来表示劝告、建议、义务、责任等，相当于情态动词should。 eg：You're supposed to ask the teacher if you want to leave the classroom.如果你要离开教室的话，应该先问问老师。 ►a bit意为“有点儿，一点儿”，相当于a little bit/a little。 eg：Your article is a bit long.你的文章长了一点儿。 【辨析】a little与a bit ①两者都可作状语，修饰比较级。 eg：He is a little/a bit older than you.他比你稍大一点儿。 ②两者都可作主语或宾语。 eg：Please give me a bit/a little.请给我一点儿吧。 ③两者前置修饰名词时，a little后可直接接名词，a bit必须加of后才能接名词。 eg：a little money＝a bit of money一点儿钱 【注意】①not a little意为“很，非常”，相当于very (much)。 ②not a bit意为“根本不，一点儿也不”，相当于not...at all。 ②当be supposed to...的主语是“物”时，意为“本应，本该”，用于表示某事本应该发生而没有发生。 eg：The meeting is supposed to take place on Tuesday， but we have to put it off.这个会议本应在星期二举行，但我们不得不把它推迟了。 The train was supposed to arrive half an hour ago.火车本应在半小时之前到达。 ③be supposed to...还可用于表示“被认为……；被相信是……”。 eg：They are supposed to be very clever.他们被认为很聪明。 This house is supposed to be his.这所房子被认为是他的。 ④be supposed to...的否定结构为be not supposed to...，它常用于口语中，意为“不被许可……；不应当……”。 【注意】suppose作谓语时，后面的宾语从句如果是特殊疑问句，特殊疑问词应提到句首。这样的词还有think，believe等。 eg：Who do you suppose runs fastest？你认为谁跑得最快？ 一、单项选择。 1．—Henry，you ____ tell the teacher if you need to leave the classroom. —Sorry，sir.
