1. What kind of person do you think Liu Lianman was? What role did he play in his team?
Think and share.
I think Liu Lianman was selfless, strong and determined. He tried many times to climb the last few metres of the Second Step, even when he was tired and weak. When he couldn't go on, he helped histeammates by becoming a "human ladder". He gave up his own chance to reach the top so that his team could succeed. This shows he cared more about the team than himself, and he never gave up easily. He played a key role in his team. He was a helper and supporter.
