Ⅰ.阅读理解
A
For as long as I can remember, my body and I have shared a relationship of discontent.Growing up, I was skinnier than the other kids and at five, I was told I wasn't attractive and that I must put on some weight. But no matter how much I ate, I stayed thin for years until adolescence. Then I started putting on weight almost immediately.I remember feeling happy as I began to fill out. However, my joy didn't last long.
I was thirteen when I was first called fat.Friends and neighbours would make jokes on my big size.As I entered my late teens, I had completely lost confidence in my body and, subsequently, in myself.Having failed to live up to conventional beauty standards, I was convinced that if I wanted to be loved, I needed to offer more, doing anything to please everyone around.
I entered adulthood thinking I wasn't “enough” — an idea that was seeded not only by the fact that “skinny” is celebrated, but also by the language associated with accounts of losing weight — self-improvement, discipline — all virtues.Being fat quickly categorizes you as lazy and undisciplined.Consumed by thoughts of the way my body looked, I didn't notice the other ways my body needed attention.I failed to realize, for example, that my period was much heavier and more painful than ever before.Actually I developed a rare disease and later I had two surgeries.
I was always made to feel that my weight was the root of a lot of problems in my life; I have learnt this is not true. After a lot of self-reflection and some professional help, I realized I never learnt to like myself. While two decades of self-hatred cannot be undone overnight, I have taken first step to acceptance.
I am now much lighter than before, in body and mind. There are days I find voices on social media saying I am too fat to be loved or to be worthy, but I am learning not to focus on that thought for long.As long as I like myself, just the way I am, opinions at the end of the day are just water off a duck's back.

Parents play a crucial role in helping their children establish correct values. In today's complex society, children are exposed to various influences, and it is essential for parents to guide them properly.
First of all, parents should set a good example. Children often learn by observing their parents' behaviors. If parents are honest, kind-hearted, and responsible, children are more likely to develop these positive qualities. For example, when parents keep their promises to children, children will understand the importance of honesty.
Secondly, communication is key. Parents should have regular conversations with their children, listening to their thoughts and feelings, and guiding them to view things from a correct perspective. When children encounter difficulties or are confused about something, parents can help them analyze the problem, and teach them to face challenges bravely and make rational decisions.
Moreover, parents can encourage children to participate in volunteer activities. Through such experiences, children can learn to care about others, understand the needs of the society, and develop a sense of social responsibility. For instance, participating in activities to help the elderly can make children realize the importance of respecting the elderly and being helpful.
In addition, limiting children's exposure to negative information is also necessary. The Internet and media are full of various information, some of which may be harmful to children's value-formation. Parents should properly manage children's access to electronic devices and guide them to choose positive and healthy content to watch or read.
Finally, praise and encouragement are powerful tools. When children show good behaviors or make progress in value-related aspects, parents should give timely praise, which can strengthen their confidence and make them more willing to adhere to the right values.
In a word, helping children establish correct values requires parents to make continuous efforts, using various methods to create a good family environment and growth atmosphere for children.

Ⅱ.阅读七选五
During your teenage years, your body goes through many changes, and you may or may not like how your body develops. You start forming an image of your body.__9__
You can develop either a positive or negative body image, depending on your mindset.
One of the major contributors of a negative body image is peer pressure. Even if you do not think you are being bullied by your group of friends, you may be laughed at casually about your appearance or you may simply notice that they seem more “perfect” than you. This can have a negative impact on your body image. __10__ Often, an ideal body type is promoted heavily on social networks. Culture may also have a negative impact on one's body image. If your culture values a particular body image, then that would make you unhappy if you don't match it.
A negative body image increases the risk of unhealthy behaviors like extreme dieting, overeating, over exercising, isolation, and risky surgeries. It also lowers life satisfaction and can lead to unhappiness. __11__
To have a more positive body image, first accept that we are all unique individuals. Imagine if everyone looked the same, the world would be a boring place. __12__ Beauty standards keep changing all the time. What's more, models and celebrities you see in the media may look “perfect” for the era, but, in fact, much of it is due to makeup, angles and lighting and Photoshop!
__13__ Avoid commenting on others' looks, and you will stop criticizing yourself too. If you have peers who constantly comment about your appearance, it might be time to re-evaluate the company you keep.
Remember, your body image is simply YOUR perception of your body. This means YOU have the power to change this, even if you do not have the ability to change the perception of others.
A.Your body image is influenced by many factors.
B.Another major factor is what is shown in the media.
C.It is simply how you see, think and feel about yourself.
D.More importantly, there is no such thing as a perfect body.
E.In general, the key to a positive body image is self-acceptance.
F.Also, instead of focusing on appearances, learn to value people for who they really are.
G.Over focusing on appearance can stop you from appreciating your other positive qualities.
