After Miles Fetherston- Resch learned that sharks were in trouble, he was confused by how people treated the oceans. “I saw a polluted beach,” he said. “The adults are doing something about it. Why can’t I?”
With the help of his mom, Miles started an organization called Kids Saving Oceans. Starting with $13 from his piggy bank, he has raised $26,000 for ocean conservation. Before he turned 18, he wanted to raise $1 million for ocean conservation organizations.
Miles has even helped co- write a book called Kids Saving Oceans, Olivia Makes a Difference. “It’s about a kid named Olivia and she doesn’t want to just help her dad in the kitchen.
