Every Sunday morning Jack runs in a park. There’s a lake in the park. He often sees the same old woman sitting by the lake with a small box next to her.

“Hello,” Jack says. “May I ask you what you are doing with these turtles?”

“That’s really nice of you,” Jack says. She says, “I like helping these turtles. It’s my way to affect the world.”
Jack says, “You are kind, but there are so many turtles living in the world. And most of them don’t meet kind people like you. I don’t think you can affect the world.”
The woman looks at her hands and says to Jack, “If this guy could talk, he’d tell you that I just affected the world.”
