I’ll have someone to talk to on the long journey. 在漫长的旅途中,有人可以跟我聊天了。 一、名词 1.名词的分类 名词 普通名词 专有名词 可数名词 不可数名词 国家、人名、地名、月份、节日、团体、机构名称 个体名词 集体名词 物质名词 抽象名词 2.可数名词的数 英语中的可数名词有单数和复数之分。复数可数名词的构成和变化规则如下: (1)可数名词变复数的规则变化 ① 一般情况下在词尾加-s,在清辅音后读作 /s/ ,在浊辅音后和元音后读作/z/ 如:desk → desks,bed → beds,piano → pianos ② 在以 s,x,ch,sh结尾的名词词尾加-es,读作 /Iz/ 如:bus → buses,box → boxes, watch → watches,brush → brushes ③ 个别以 o 结尾的名词,在词尾加-es,读作 /z/ 如:tomato → tomatoes,potato → potatoes, hero → heroes 注意:有些以 o 结尾的名词,变为复数时是在后面加-s,如:photo → photos, piano → pianos,radio → radios,zoo → zoos ④ 大部分以 f 或 fe 结尾的名词,改 f 或 fe 为 v 再加-es,读作 /vz/ 如:leaf → leaves,knife → knives, thief → thieves,shelf → shelves, wolf → wolves,wife → wives, half → halves,life → lives ⑤ 以辅音字母加 y 结尾的名词,改 y 为 i再加-es,读作 /Iz/ 如:university → universities, baby → babies,family → families, party → parties 注意:以元音字母加 y 结尾的名词,则直接加-s,读作/Iz/,如:boy → boys, monkey → monkeys,toy → toys (2)可数名词变复数的不规则变化 变化 例词 元音发生变化 man → men,tooth → teeth,mouse → mice 词尾发生变化 child → children 单复数同形 sheep → sheep,deer → deer,fish → fish, Japanese → Japanese,Chinese → Chinese 由man或woman构成的复合名词前后两词皆变为复数 woman teacher → women teachers, man doctor → men doctors 注意: ① 常以复数形式出现的名词:people(人),clothes(衣服),trousers(裤子),glasses(眼镜)等。这些名词作主语时,它们的谓语要用复数形式,其中trousers和glasses表示复数时通常与a pair of或“数词+pairs of”连用。如: I’d like a pair of glasses.我想要一副眼镜。 ② 有些名词看似复数形式,实际上并不表示复数的意义,应特别加以 记忆。 如:news 消息  maths 数学  physics 物理  politics 政治 3. 不可数名词的数 (1)不可数名词分为物质名词和抽象名词两类。不可数名词一般只有单数形式,没有复数形式,作主语时谓语动词要用单数形式。 (2)不可数名词中的物质名词可与单位词构成短语表示一定的数量。这些短语作主语时,要根据单位词的数来决定谓语动词的单复数形式。 如:a glass of water 一杯水  two glasses of water 两杯水 4.名词的所有格 名词的所有格表示名词的所有关系,意为“……的”。所有格的构成方法如下: (1)’s所有格 ① 在名词后面加-’s。如: the boy’s mother 男孩的母亲 Tom’s desk 汤姆的桌子 ② 以s结尾的名词只加-’。 如:Teachers’ Day 教师节   two weeks’ holiday 两周的假期 注意:不以s结尾的复数名词的所有格,仍按惯例加-’s。 如:Children’s Day 儿童节 ③ 表示一件东西为多人共有,只需在最后一个人的名字后面加-’s;若表示各自所有,则需在每个名字后面都加-’s。 如:Alan and Ben’s computer 艾伦和本的电脑(两人共有一台电脑) Alan’s and Ben’s computers 艾伦和本的电脑(各自拥有一台电脑) 注意:下面情况的名词所有格后面,一般省略它所修饰的名词。 如:at my uncle’s 在我叔叔家  the Li’s 李家 go to the doctor’s 去看病 (2)of所有格 表示无生命名词的所有格,一般以“of+名词”结构来表示。 如:the windows of the classroom 教室的窗户 the colour of the flower 花的颜色 注意:有些指时间、距离、地点的无生命的名词也可加-’s来表示所有格。 如:two hours’ walk 步行两小时(的路程) an hour’s talk 一小时的谈话 the city’s population 这个城市的人口 二、冠词 1.不定冠词及其用法 不定冠词常表示“一”的概念,有两种形式:a和an。a用在读音以辅音音素开头的名词前,an用在读音以元音音素开头的名词前,如a story,an old man,an hour。 (1)用于泛指某人、某事或某物。如: A dog likes bones. 狗喜欢骨头。 (2)第一次提及某人或某物,非特指。如: Mr Wang bought a dress for his wife.The dress was very beautiful. 王先生给他的妻子买了一条裙子。这条裙子非常漂亮。(第二次提及时用定冠词the) (3)表示“每一”,相当于one或every。如: Take the medicine three times a day. 每天服药三次。 (4)用于固定短语中。如: have a rest 休息   have a look 瞧一瞧   have a good time 过得开心 get / have a cold 患感冒   make a mistake 犯错误   in a moment 过一会儿 in a way 在某种程度上   go for a walk 去散步   once upon a time 从前;很久以前 2.定冠词及其用法 (1)特指某人、某事或某物。如: The woman in the blue coat is my aunt. 穿蓝色外套的那位女士是我的婶婶。 (2)指世界上独一无二的事物。 如: The moon goes around the earth. 月亮绕着地球转。 (3)重提前文中提到过的人、事、物(文中第二次出现)。如: Last weekend,I bought a present for my best friend.The present was a nice pen. 上周末,我买了一份礼物给我最好的朋友。那份礼物是一支很好的钢笔。 (4)表示说话人和听话人都知道的人或事物。如: Open the door,please. 请打开门。 (5)用于序数词、形容词的最高级形式或表示方位的名词前。如: Thanksgiving Day is on the 4th Thursday in November. 感恩节在十一月的第四个星期四。 (6)用于某些由普通名词构成的专有名词前,或表示江、河、湖、海名称的名词前。 如: the People’s Republic of China 中华人民共和国 the Yangtze River 长江  the Great Wall 长城 (7)用于固定短语中。如: all the time 一直,总是   at the same time 同时   by the way 顺便问一下 in the end 最后   in the morning / afternoon / evening 上午 / 下午 / 晚上 in the middle of … 在……的中间  go to the cinema 看电影   the same as … 和……一样 (8)定冠词后面接形容词,可使形容词名词化。如: No one should look down upon the disabled.任何人都不应该看不起残障 人士。 (9)用在乐器名称的前面。如: Does Mary like to play the piano or the violin? 玛丽喜欢弹钢琴还是拉小提琴? (10)用在整十年份的复数之前,指代某世纪的某个年代。如: in the 1990s 在二十世纪90年代   in the 1850s 在十九世纪50年代 (11)在姓氏的复数前加定冠词指某一家人。如: the Greens 格林一家   the Blacks 布莱克一家 3.零冠词(即不用冠词的情况) (1)名词前面已有人称代词、指示代词或不定代词时,不用任何冠词。如: This is my book,and that is my sister’s book.这是我的书,那是我妹 妹 的书。 (2)复数名词表示类别时,前面不用任何冠词,表示泛指。如: Computers are useful tools.电脑是有用的工具。 (3)不可数名词表示一般类别和概念时,前面不用冠词。如: Paper is made from wood.纸是由木材制成的。 (4)称呼语或表示头衔的名词前面不用任何冠词。如: Professor Li just came back from New Zealand.李教授刚刚从新西兰回来。 (5)含Day的节日、假日、季节、月份、星期、一日三餐名称前一般 不用任何冠词。如: If winter comes,can spring be far behind?  冬天到了,春天还会远吗? (6)球类运动、棋类游戏名词前不用任何冠词。如: Will you play chess with me? 你会和我一起下棋吗?
