Step 4: Sample Essay & Highlights Analysis 1. Sample Essay Sunday, 15 October Sunny Last weekend, I went camping with my best friends, Tom and Lily. We set off at 7 a.m. and drove to a campsite near a lake. The view there was amazing—clear water, green trees and fresh air. After arriving, we put up our tents first. Then we had a picnic by the lake. In the afternoon, we went hiking along a small path. The path was a little narrow, so we supported each other. We saw many beautiful birds and flowers. Unluckily, Tom’s shoe was broken. We helped him repair it together. It was a tiring but wonderful day. We not only enjoyed the beauty of nature but also learned the importance of teamwork. I will never forget this great experience. 2. Highlights sentences: The view there was amazing—clear water, green trees and fresh air.
