课标主题群 以读促写五 科学与技术   Picture this: Students pass their schoolwork through different hands, from their group leaders to the class representative(课代表), and finally to the teacher. It might not sound too difficult, but sometimes it can go wrong and take a lot of time. So, how to help collect homework quickly and correctly?   With the development of science and technology, someone has managed to deal with the problem. Zhang Xirui from Guangdong came up with a useful tool—a smart homework collection robot.   The robot uses radio frequency identification(RFID,无线射频识别) technology—a reader and a special tag(标签) that can share information without touching each other. This helps it to know and find what it is looking for. Each student􀆳s notebook has a special RFID tag with his or her name and the subject on it. Students only need to place their notebooks on the robot, and the machine “sees” the notebook, reads its tag and takes it out of the list. “Teachers can check who hasn􀆳t turned in homework by connecting their phones with the robot through Wi-Fi,” he said.   Now, Zhang is planning to develop a third-generation robot and tries to make it possible to read lots of RFID tags from far away. He believes that this is the key to making life easier for us.   Zhang dreams of becoming a scientist when he grows up. “Inventing has brought me joy and happiness. Modern technologies not only change my life, but also the lives of other people.
