In 2003, China sent its first astronaut, Yang Liwei, into space. Since then, more and more Chinese astronauts have “reached for the stars”. Ye Guangfu, Li Cong and Li Guangsu are three of them. They finished the Shenzhou-18 mission in 2024. Have you ever thought of becoming an astronaut like them?
To be an astronaut, you need to be very healthy. Good eyesight and a strong heart are significant . You'd better not have other small problems, like a decayed tooth (蛀牙).
You'll start hard training when you become a backup (后备) astronaut. For example, you need to do a lot of running, swimming and pull-ups. You will also wear a heavy spacesuit and do tasks underwater for 6 or 7 hours without eating or going to the toilet.
Knowledge is important as well. Astronauts take many courses to get ready for a mission, such as maths, English, physics, so that they will know what to do during the mission.
