形容词的三种基本形式
形容词有三种形式,适配不同比较语境
原级:描述人/事物本身固有特征,无任何比较
比较级:仅限两者间的程度比较,表“更……”
最高级:三者及以上间的程度比较,表“最……”
形式选择的核心依据:比较对象的数量
形容词三形式核心结构表
类型 核心用法 句型结构

比较级/最高级 规则变化(单/部分双音节①)
单音节/部分双音节形容词,按词尾特征加后缀变化
1.一般情况:直接加 -er(比较级)/-est(最高级)
例:tall→taller→tallest;clean→cleaner→cleanest
2.不发音e结尾:直接加 -r(比较级)/-st(最高级)
例:nice→nicer→nicest;wide→wider→widest
核心:避免重复加e,简化后缀书写
比较级/最高级 规则变化(单/部分双音节②)
1.辅音字母+y结尾:先变y为i,再加 -er/-est
例:happy→happier→happiest;busy→busier→busiest
2.元音字母+y结尾:直接加 -er/-est
例:gray→grayer→grayest;play→playful(拓展)
核心:区分词尾y前的字母属性(元音/辅音)
比较级/最高级 规则变化(重读闭音节)
重读闭音节判定:同时满足「辅+元+辅」词尾 + 重读在最后一个音节
变化规则:双写末尾辅音字母,再加 -er/-est
例:big→bigger→biggest;thin→thinner→thinnest
例:hot→hotter→hottest;fat→fatter→fattest
核心:两个判定条件缺一不可,无重读则不双写
比较级/最高级 规则变化(多/部分双音节)
判定标准:3个及以上音节的形容词;部分双音节形容词
变化规则:原级前加more(比较级)/most(最高级),不加后缀
例:interesting→more interesting→most interesting
例:beautiful→more beautiful→most beautiful
例:outgoing→more outgoing;important→most important
核心:多音节形容词无后缀变化,仅靠前缀改变等级

good/well better best good修饰名词;well修饰动词
bad/ill worse worst 均可表“坏的/糟糕的”,通用无差异
many/much more most many接可数名词;much接不可数名词
little less least 仅修饰不可数名词,表“数量少的”
far farther/further farthest/furthest farther表距离远;further表程度深
原级核心句型——同级比较
专用于两者间的程度相同/不同比较,中间只能用原级
1.肯定结构:A + be + as + 形容词原级 + as + B
表“A和B一样……”,例:Lucy is as slim as Lily.
2.否定结构:A + be + not as/so + 形容词原级 + as + B
表“A不如B……”,as/so可互换,
例:This book is not as interesting as that one.
核心:as...as中间必须用形容词原级,不可用比较级/最高级
比较级核心句型
结构:比较级 + than + 比较对象
例:Tom is taller than his brother;He runs faster than me.
重叠比较句型
结构:比较级 + and + 比较级,表“越来越……”
1.单音节形容词:直接用,例:It’s getting colder and colder in winter.
2.多音节形容词:more and more + 原级,例:She is becoming more and more beautiful.
核心:多音节形容词无直接重叠形式,需加more衔接
比较级核心句型(双重+最高级转换)
双重比较级句型
结构:The + 比较级,the + 比较级,表“越……,就越……”
例:The more careful you are, the fewer mistakes you make.
核心:前后均用比较级,前半句为条件,后半句为结果
最高级转换句型
结构:比较级 + than + any other + 单数名词,表最高级含义
例:He is taller than any other student in his class.
核心:限定同一范围内的比较,any other后必须接单数名词
最高级核心句型——基础结构+范围区分
基础结构
the + 形容词最高级 + 范围状语(in/of短语)
例:She is the most outgoing girl in our class.
核心:最高级前的the不可省略,范围状语是判定最高级的关键
范围区分
1.in后接:班级、学校、城市等地点/集体名词
2.of后接:数量、同类人/事物,例:of the three boys;of all the teachers
最高级 拓展核心句型
one of the + 形容词最高级 + 可数名词复数,表“……中最……之一”
例:This is one of the most beautiful cities in China.
关键注意点
1.最高级前的the不可省略
2.名词必须用复数形式,适配one of的“众多之一”含义
拓展用法
序数词(first/second/third)+ the + 最高级,例:He is the second tallest boy in our grade.
Word Power 核心——后缀-ful/-less构词法
均为形容词后缀,仅能加在名词后构成形容词,不可加在动词后
-ful:表“充满……的、具有……性质的、有……的”,多为褒义/中性
-less:表“没有……的、无……的、不……的”,多为-ful的反义词,贬义/否定
核心:两者为对应反义后缀,构词基础均为名词

仅加-ful构成形容词,无对应-less形式,教材要求认知掌握
cheer → cheerful(快乐的、开朗的):a cheerful boy
colour → colourful(色彩鲜艳的、丰富多彩的):colourful clothes
wonder → wonderful(极好的、绝妙的):a wonderful trip
thought → thoughtful(体贴的、考虑周到的):a thoughtful friend
-ful/-less派生词 等级变化规则
此类派生词多为多音节形容词,其比较级/最高级变化
遵循多音节形容词规则:原级前加more/most,不加后缀
例:careful→more careful→most careful
例:helpful→more helpful→most helpful
例:hopeful→more hopeful→most hopeful
核心:无-er/-est变化形式,统一用前缀改变等级

1.farther(距离远)VS further(程度深),不可混用
2.many(接可数名词)VS much(接不可数名词),比较级均为more
