Bao Zheng is considered(被认为) as one of the highly respected officials in history and is much loved by Chinese people. Many of the stories about Bao were made into some movies, plays and so on. Here is one of them.

A young boy made a living by selling fried dough sticks(油条) in the market. One day he fell asleep on a rock after he got 100 copper coins(铜钱).When he woke up,he found his coins were gone. The boy cried because the money was so important for his sick(生病的) mother.

Bao Zheng happened to pass through the market. After knowing that the boy's coins were gone, he ordered everyone in the market to put a coin into a basin(盆) filled with water. When a coin created an oil bloom(油花) in the water, Bao caught the man who dropped the coin and told everyone that he took the boy's coins. Bao explained,“The boy is the only one who sells oily food in the market and the man's coin is the only one that created an oil bloom in the basin.”

Once upon a time, there was a crocodile(鳄鱼) who lived in the river. One day, the crocodile crawled(爬行) into the desert(沙漠) and he lost his way. Just then, he noticed a young man there. Then he shouted,“Hi,friend! Please help me! I couldn't get back to the river.”

The young man put the crocodile on his back and finally took him to the river. At this time, the crocodile said to the young man,“In fact, I want to eat you up, but your kindness really moved me. I decided to eat only one of your legs.” Then they argued(争吵) with each other.

That woke up a bird. After knowing what happened, the bird said to the young man,“I don't believe you can carry Mr Crocodile. You have to show me how you do it first.”

So the young man carried the crocodile again and walked back to the desert. When they reached there, the bird asked the crocodile,“Do you think you can walk to the river without the help of the young man?”

The crocodile answered,“No.”

Then the bird turned to the young man and said,“It's up to you, young man. Do you want to save him again?”

Once upon a time, a rabbit built a beautiful house. He made it so strong that it stood well even    (1)  a great snowstorm.
