单元语法精讲精练 单元语法精讲 although, until, so that & if 引导的状语从句 1. although 作连词, 意为“虽然; 尽管”, 同 though 一样, 引导让步状语从句, 既可放在句首也可放在句中。 [注意]在英语中,although/though不能和but同时出现在一个句子中,但它们之间可进行句型转换。 Although/Though Mary is thin, she’s very healthy. =Mary is thin, but she is very healthy. 虽然玛丽很瘦,但她很健康。 Although/Though my car is old, it still runs very well. = My car is old, but it still runs very well. 我的汽车虽然旧了,但仍跑得很好。 1. until 引导状语从句时作连词。 (1)当句子为肯定句时,until表示“一直到……时(为止)”或“在……之前”,这时主句中的动词为持续性动词。 Wait until her mother comes back. 等到她妈妈回来。 1. 当句子为否定句时, not…until…表示“直到……才……”。 I didn’t finish my homework until 11:00 last night. 昨晚直到 11 点我才完成我的家庭作业。 1. so that 作连词, 意为“以便”, 可引导目的状语从句。 Let’s leave now so that we can get there at one o’clock. 咱们现在就走,以便一点钟能到那儿。 4.if引导的条件状语从句 (1)概述 引导条件状语从句最常用的连词是if,常见的if条件状语从句表示在某条件下,某事很可能发生,条件是可能存在的,主句中某种情况发生的概率也是很高的。 If you ask him, he will help you. 如果你请他帮忙,他会帮你的。 If you fail the exam, you will let him down. 如果你考试不及格,你会让他失望的。 (2)时态 if从句用一般现在时,主句用一般将来时。 If he runs, he’ll get there in time. 如果他跑,他会及时赶到那儿。 The cat will scratch you if you pull her tail. 如果你拉猫的尾巴,她就会抓你。 if从句用一般现在时,主句中包含情态动词,如may,might,can,must,should等。 If it stops snowing, we can go out. 如果雪停了,我们就可以出去。 If you want to lose weight, you must eat fewer hamburgers. 如果你想减肥,你必须少吃汉堡包。 if从句用一般现在时,主句用祈使语气。 If the traffic lights turn red, stop at once. 如果交通灯变红了,立刻停下。 单元语法精练 阅读下面句子,用although, until, so that或者if完成句子。 1.
