2. What do you think of the development of transport?
Thanks to the development of science and technology and the hard work of Chinese people, the transport has changed a lot. Since we entered the 21st century, people’s life has become more convenient because of the rapid development of the transport.
We Chinese always say “If you want to be rich, build roads first.” Why is transport so important to the development of our country?
Further thinking
As a Chinese saying goes, if you want to get rich, build roads first. Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the country has been devoted to building a strong transport network, connecting faraway villages with big cities and promising the smooth flows of people, goods and even ideas. Transport contributes to our rapid economic growth.
Homework
Write 3-5 English sentences to describe the changes of transport in different travel situations (going to school, getting around the city, travelling to other cities), using “used to” for the past and the simple present tense for the present correctly.
Thank you!
