Resting my head on Helen's shoulder, I put my arms around her waist(腰). She drew me to her, and we rested in silence.
We had not sat long before another person came in.
Some heavy clouds, swept from the sky by a rising wind, had left the moon bright; and her light, coming in through a window near, shone full both on us and on the coming person, Miss Temple.
“I came on purpose to find you, Jane Eyre,” said she. “I want you in my room, and as Helen Burns is with you, she may come too.”
We followed Miss Temple to her apartment. It had a good fire and looked cheerful. Miss Temple told Helen Burns to be seated in a low armchair on one side of the fireplace. Then she took another and called me to her side.
“Is it all over?” she asked, looking down at my face. “Have you cried your sadness away?”
“I am afraid I never shall do that.”
“Why?”
“Because I have been wrongly accused(指责), and you and everybody else will think me a bad girl.”
“We shall think of you as what you prove yourself to be, my child. Continue to act as a good girl, and you will satisfy us.”
“Shall I, Miss Temple?”
“You will,” said Miss Temple, “You have been accused of lying when you were little. Tell us the truth, but add nothing and exaggerate(夸大)nothing.”
I made up my mind that I would be modest and correct. Having thought for a few minutes about where to start, I told her the whole story of my sad childhood.

Reading is a lifelong journey. Put yourself into a world of books and get lost in another world—but where do you start? Here are some suggestions to pick a great book.
31._ The best people to throw your questions are librarians! They are cool book brains. If you tell a librarian what you've read before and what you liked or disliked about it, they will suggest some possible books to you to try.
32._ Changing into a new style of book is not easy. You may get used to reading history books or you just take an interest in science fictions. What about the books about culture? You'll never know until you try. Give a new style a chance and you may enter a whole new world of reading.
33._ Book reviews can help you decide if a book is for you. There are usually short reviews on the covers of books. You can also read reviews online. Some websites provide book suggestions from writers, parents and teachers. Some people's opinions about the books are very interesting. Their ideas may help you get a right pick.
34._ A Chinese teacher usually has rich experience in what kind of books to choose for students. What's more, your Chinese teacher knows you well and gives you better advice on what to read.
35._ Reading something comfortable might be your first choice. But why not challenge yourself to read something more complicated(复杂的)? It is a good way of pushing yourself to improve your reading skills.
