动词不定式作表语
动词不定式是非谓语动词的一种形式,可以放在系动词be之后作表语,通常说明或解释主语的内容,也可表示将来的动作。
1.动词不定式作表语的基本用法
(1)动词不定式作表语,一般紧跟在系动词如be,seem,remain,appear,get等后面,用来说明主语的内容。
(2023·全国甲卷)And the only way for us to get into the habit of waiting is to practice.
我们养成等待习惯的唯一方法就是练习。
(2)主语是以way,aim,duty,hope,dream,idea,intention,purpose,mistake,plan,proposal,job,suggestion,task,goal等抽象名词为中心词的名词词组,常用动词不定式作表语。

(2023·新课标Ⅰ卷)My suggestion is to group students based on their language abilities or to let students choose their own partners.

(3)动词不定式表达的含义:
①主语(事物)+be+动词不定式(作表语)表示主语的具体内容。
②主语(人)+be+动词不定式(作表语)表示将来的动作。
His plan is to clean the room.
他的计划是打扫房间。
The students are to meet at the school gate tomorrow.
明天学生们将在学校大门口见面。
(4)在某些句型中,当主语部分有实义动词do及其不同形式时,作表语的动词不定式可以省略to。
All you do now is (to) complete the form.
你现在要做的是把这张表填好。
What I'll do is (to) tell her the truth.
我要做的就是告诉她真相。
(5)有些作表语的动词不定式,在结构上是主动的,但在意义上却是被动的。
She is to blame.她应该受到责备。
Something is still to find out.有些东西还有待查明。
