1.时间状语
Point
1.过去某一具体时刻正在进行的动作:
at+过去时间点,at that moment,at the time (of ...),just then.
The phone rang at that moment, and I was doing my homework.
那时电话响了,我正在做作业。
At the time of the accident, they were talking in the car.
事故发生时, 他们正在交谈。
Just then, he was running to catch the bus.
就在那时,他正跑着去赶公交车。

2. 过去某一时间段内持续进行的动作:
from...to...(过去), all +过去时间段, the whole + 过去时间段,
during +过去时间段。
They were planting trees from 8 am to 11 am last Saturday.
She was sleeping all morning last Sunday.
3. when / while +从句
She was waiting for the bus when the rainstorm came.
2.现在分词变化规则

疑问句 Was/Were +主语+ V-ing +...? 肯定回答:Yes,主语+was/were.
否定回答:No,主语+wasn't/weren't.

疑问句 WH- + was/were + V-ing + ... ? Who was cleaning the classroom...?
WH- + was/were + 主语 + V-ing + ... ?
4. when/while引导的时间状语从句
Point
when和while都可意为“当......时”,用来引导时间状语从句,
表示主句动作发生的背景,
位置:从句可位于主句之前或之后,当位于主句之前时,与主句要用逗号分开。

长动作(延续性动词):如 sleep, walk, read, watch TV,像一条线。

6. 过去进行时和一般过去时的区别
Point
过去进行时 表示过去某一时刻或某一段时间内正在进行的动作。可表示动作的未完成性 They were planting trees yesterday.
(强调昨天一天一直在植树,动作不一定结束)
一般过去时 表示过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态。强调动作已经结束 They planted trees yesterday.
昨天他们植树了。(强调昨天植了树,动作结束)
