语法精讲
一、基本概念
过去将来时表示对过去某一时间来说将要发生的动作或呈现的状态,常用在宾语从句中。这个时态是一个相对的时态,立足于过去某时,从过去的观点看未来。在一定的语境中也可用于其他从句或句子中。
Mary told me that she would go to Shanghai by plane.
玛丽告诉我说她将要坐飞机去上海。
He said he would come here next Friday.
他说他下周五来这儿。
I knew that he would help us when we were in trouble.
我知道当我们陷入困境时他会帮助我们。
二、常见结构及其用法
1.would+动词原形
(1)表示从过去某时看将要发生的动作或存在的状态。常用于宾语从句中。
He said that he would wait for us at the bus stop.
他说他要在车站等我们。
She hoped that they would meet again someday.
她希望将来有一天他们能再见面。
(2)表示过去的某种习惯性行为,只用would。
Whenever we had trouble,he would come to help us.
每当我们遇到困难时,他总会来帮助我们。
2.“was/were going to+动词原形”表示过去的“预见”或“意图”,也可表示根据计划或安排即将发生的事,可以和表示将来的时间状语连用。
Last night,my parents told me that they were going to visit Guilin with me during the Spring Festival.
昨晚,我父母告诉我他们计划春节期间带我游览桂林。
3.“was/were about to+动词原形”表示“正要、即将”,说话的瞬间就会发生的动作。常用于句型“be about to do...when...”,表示“正要做……这时……”。
I felt that something terrible was about to happen.
我感到某种可怕的事情即将发生。
We were about to set out on a trip when it suddenly began to rain heavily.
我们正要出发去旅行,这时突然下起了大雨。
4.“was/were to+动词原形”通常指过去的计划安排或注定要发生的事情,可以和表示将来的时间状语连用。
The building was to be completed the next month.

I felt nervous because I was soon to leave home for the first time.
我感到紧张,因为我很快就要第一次离开家了。
5.表示位移的动词,如come,go,leave,arrive,return,start等,可用过去进行时代替过去将来时。

6.在条件和时间状语从句中,要表示过去将来时须用一般过去时代替过去将来时。

The traditional Chinese lunar calendar(农历)divides the year into 24 solar terms(节气).Start of Winter,the 19th solar term of the year,begins on Nov.7 and ends on Nov.21 in 2020.
