A Great Figure
Born in 1936,Zhong Nanshan graduated from Bei-
jing Medical College in 1960.He is honored as one of
the leading medicine expert in China.
Back in 2002 and 2003,Dr.Zhong made great con-
tributions to the fight against SARS.Seventeen years
later, when COVID-19 broke out in early 2020,he was
appointed to lead the fight.Despite his advanced age,he
sometimes worked non-stop for days during that tough
time. Thanks to his superb commitment as well as the
selfless efforts of heroic Chinese medical workers,we
made great progress in the battle against the disastrous
disease.
What he has done inspires me to work even harder.
And I am determined to seek a career in medicine when I
grow up so that I can work for the human health.

Paragraph 1:
"Are you sure there is nothing left?"the old man
asked him.The man led him into the cave.To his sur-
prise, there was a box full of treasure and precious
stones.“What?Why?”the man was shocked.“Con-
gratulations!Young man,"the old man said."You see,
this is the Cave of Treasure. You are the first to pass its
test. Many others who discovered the cave ended up re-
alizing there was nothing here.
Paragraph 2:
“And why does this happer?”said the mar.“Why
do things ap pear and disap pear?""This magic cave has
as many riches as your own heart does. When people
discover the cave,it will fill with the jewels if they share
them with others. However,if they devote themselves
to guarding the treasure, their hearts begin emptying.
So does the cave. The only way to fill it is by filling your
heart with all that is good,as you did.So it is better to
share things than keep them to yourself."
