故选A项。 B Liu Hong, director of the Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Administration in Ganzi, dresses as a swordsman from Louis Cha’s novel The Smiling, Proud Wanderer, becoming a spokesman for the tourism resources of his hometown. His videos have drawn much praise. “He’s exactly what I imagined a swordsman would be like in the old times,” one audience commented. In these videos, Liu acted like a hero of Chinese martial arts fictions, sometimes rowing on bamboo raft, sometimes wandering by the lake and sometimes leading a horse. All the short videos are produced in Liu’s spare time. Snow mountains, grasslands, forests and lakes — Ganzi, as part of the Silk Road and the Ancient Tea Horse Road, shows great natural beauty and also the cultural combination between Han and Tibetan ethnic cultures. After graduating from college, Liu chose to return to work in his hometown of Yajiang county, where he became director of the tourism bureau in 2002. In order to promote tourism in his hometown, he began taking pictures of his hometown and sent brochures to travel agencies. He has led villagers to build roads and personally received nearly 20,000 tourists. In 2019, Liu was appointed as director of the Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Administration in Ganzi, and continued to innovate the forms of cultural tourism promotion. In 2021, the total number of tourists received by Ganzi will exceed 35 million and the tourism income will exceed 39 billion yuan. “I love my hometown. I wanted to do more for it while people still appreciate my videos online. That was my original intention,” he said. “The internet has introduced us to the outside world, and it has brought the outside world to us,” he said. “Many people visit Ganzi, and the villagers not only increase their income and improve their quality of life, but also meet friends from all over the world and broaden their horizons.” “Welcome to Ganzi and learn more about it. I will wait for you in Ganzi!” Liu Hong said. 24. What does the underlined sentence in paragraph 2 mean? A. The audience thinks highly of Liu’s acting. B. What does paragraph 4 mainly talk about? A. Liu Hong’s original intention. B. Liu Hong’s work experience. C. Liu Hong’s contributions to tourism income. D. Liu Hong’s fight for attracting more visitors. 26. Which of the following words can best describe Liu Hong? A. Patient and generous. B. Warm-hearted and polite. C. Responsible and creative. D. Independent and positive. 27. In which part of a newspaper can we probably read this passage? A. Travel. B. History. C. Education. D. Business. A 25. B 26. C 27. 根据划线句上文“His videos have drawn much praise.(他的视频获得了很多好评。)”以及下文中“In these videos, Liu acted like a hero of Chinese martial arts fictions, sometimes rowing on bamboo raft, sometimes wandering by the lake and sometimes leading a horse.(在这些视频中,刘洪就像中国武侠小说中的英雄一样,有时在竹筏上划船,有时在湖边徘徊,有时牵着马。)”可知,““He’s exactly what I imagined a swordsman would be like in the old times,” one audience commented.(一位观众评论道:“他完全就是我想象中古代剑客的样子”)”可知,刘洪扮成剑客拍摄的短视频获得赞誉,这位观众说刘洪的表演正是他所想象的古代侠客的样子,表明他对刘洪的表演非常认可。故选A。 根据第四段内容“After graduating from college, Liu chose to return to work in his hometown of Yajiang county, where he became director of the tourism bureau in 2002. In 2021, the total number of tourists received by Ganzi will exceed 35 million and the tourism income will exceed 39 billion yuan.(大学毕业后,刘洪选择回到家乡雅江县工作,2002年在当地担任旅游局局长。 根据第一段“Liu Hong, director of the Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Administration in Ganzi, dresses as a swordsman from Louis Cha’s novel The Smiling, Proud Wanderer, becoming a spokesman for the tourism resources of his hometown.(甘孜州文化广播电视和旅游局局长刘洪,装扮成金庸小说《笑傲江湖》中的剑客,成为了家乡旅游资源的代言人。)”以及第四段中“After graduating from college, Liu chose to return to work in his hometown of Yajiang county, where he became director of the tourism bureau in 2002. In order to promote tourism in his hometown, he began taking pictures of his hometown and sent brochures to travel agencies. He has led villagers to build roads and personally received nearly 20,000 tourists. In 2019, Liu was appointed as director of the Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Administration in Ganzi, and continued to innovate the forms of cultural tourism promotion.(大学毕业后,刘洪选择回到家乡雅江县工作,2002年在当地担任旅游局局长。 根据全文,尤其第一段“Liu Hong, director of the Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Administration in Ganzi, dresses as a swordsman from Louis Cha’s novel The Smiling, Proud Wanderer, becoming a spokesman for the tourism resources of his hometown.(甘孜州文化广播电视和旅游局局长刘洪,装扮成金庸小说《笑傲江湖》中的剑客,成为了家乡旅游资源的代言人。)” A。 C People who have trouble walking often have a hard time enjoying the beach. But hundreds of beaches in Greece now offer a new way for people in wheelchairs to get into the water by themselves. It’s called Seatrac. Seatrac is basically a chair on a moving ramp (轻便梯) that can smoothly carry a disabled person into the sea. Once in the sea, the person can either remain in the chair, enjoying the water or go for a swim. The Seatrac system can also help anyone else who has a hard time walking, including older people and pregnant women. Seatrac was invented and developed in Greece. The idea for it came when one of the inventors, Ignatios Fotiou, was talking with a friend who used a wheelchair. The friend said he enjoyed the sea, but didn’t like having to be carried into the ocean as if he were a sack (袋) of potatoes. Mr. Fotiou realized that there must be a way to make it easier for wheelchair users to get into the water. Mr. Fotiou worked with his partner and a professor at a Greek university to design the system. In time, they formed a company called TOBEA to build and sell it. The company worked hard to make the system simple to put in place and easy to run. A wooden walkway allows wheelchair users to reach the Seatrac. The system is solar-powered. It doesn’t require outside power and can continue to run even if the electricity goes out. The Seatrac system can easily be packed up and stored when the swimming season ends. This summer, the Seatrac system is being used at over 220 beaches in Greece, Cyprus, Italy and Latvia. TOBEA hopes to offer Seatrac in other countries soon. The Seatrac service in Greece is being offered for free. The Greek government has helped pay for it, with local cities buying and managing the equipment. Greece’s government hopes that Seatrac will help attract more tourists to the country. 28. Who is Seatrac designed for? A. Older people who move freely. B. Youths who like to swim in the sea. C. Women who enjoy beach baths with their children. D. People who have trouble moving around on the beach. 29. What does the underlined word “it” in paragraph 4 refer to? A. The system. B. Potato. C. Ramp. D. Normal wheelchair. 30. What can we learn about the Seatrac system? A. It’s not easy to operate. B. Users don’t have to worry about charging it. C. People need to have a big cost to use it in Greece. D. It has been available at more than one thousand beaches. 31. Why does the Greek government help pay for the Seatrac service? A. To improve the government’s image. B. To promote the development of tourism. C. To set up an organization for the disabled. D. To support small and medium-sized local companies. D 29. A 30. B 31. 根据第一段“People who have trouble walking often have a hard time enjoying the beach. But hundreds of beaches in Greece now offer a new way for people in wheelchairs to get into the water by themselves. Fotiou worked with his partner and a professor at a Greek university to design the system.(福蒂欧和他的搭档以及希腊一所大学的教授一起设计了这个系统。)” 故选A项。 根据第五段中的“The system is solar-powered. It doesn’t require outside power and can continue to run even if the electricity goes out.(该系统是太阳能驱动的。 根据最后一段中的“The Greek government has helped pay for it, with local cities buying and managing the equipment. Greece’s government hopes that Seatrac will help attract more tourists to the country.(希腊政府帮助支付了这笔费用,由当地城市购买和管理设备。 D Honey is a sweet treat that most people take for granted. But it is more than just a topping for cakes or a sweetener for tea. It’s a miracle of sorts. Honey is the only food product made by an insect that humans eat. Even with all our technical abilities, no one has figured out how to make artificial honey. There’s really no substitute (替代品). A single pound of honey may require a beehive of up to 60,000 bees to visit two million flowers. No wonder some people call it liquid gold! Although amber-colored clover honey tends to be most common, honey comes in a variety of shades and flavors, depending on the flowers that the bees gather nectar (花蜜) from. Honey has been used throughout history in a number of ways. One of the most remarkable things about it is that it never goes bad. It may crystallize, meaning that it becomes solid in parts, but simply warming it slightly will melt the crystals and return the honey to its liquid form. No one knows exactly how long honey has been used by humans, but Spanish cave paintings dated at 7,000BC show early evidence of beckeeping. Honey was also used by the ancient Egyptians as a sweetener, as a gift to the gods, and even as an element used to create mummies. Honey has been found inside the Egyptian pyramids, and although that honey was more than 3,000 years old, it would still taste like honey and be safe to eat. No other food has such lasting power! Besides its many uses as a sweetener, honey has long been used as a medicinal remedy (疗法). Because it’s difficult for any kind of bacteria (细菌) to survive in honey, it makes a perfect barrier on cuts and can prevent infection. Honey is also an effective remedy to relieve a painful throat. It has even been found to be as effective in easing coughs in children. The next time a bee flies through your garden or you spread some honey on a piece of toast, think about the miracle of honey. 32. According to the passage, what makes honey unique among the foods that humans eat? A. Its various shades. B. Its natural creation. C. Its delightful sweetness. D. Its remarkable history. 33. Why does the author mention the honey in the Egyptian pyramids? A. To illustrate that it never goes bad. B. To show the cleverness of Egyptians. C. To compare it with the honey in Spain. D. To inform that it originates from Egypt. 34. What is one of the medicinal uses of honey? A. Promoting bacterial growth. B. Curing throat pain. C. Preventing infection in wounds. D. Resisting common colds. 35. Which of the following is the best title for the text? A. Honey: a Sweet Miracle of Nature B. Honey: a Timeless Treasure C. Honey: a Natural Medicinal Remedy D. Honey: a Common Sweetener 【答案】32. B 33. A 34. C 35. 【32题详解】 细节理解题,根据第二段“Honey is the only food product that humans cat that is made by an insect. Even with all our technical abilities, no one has figured out how to make artificial honey. There’s really no substitute (替代品). 根据第五段中“Honey was also used by the ancient Egyptians as a sweetener, as a gift to the gods, and even as an element used to create mummies. Honey has been found inside the Egyptian pyramids, and although that honey was more than 3,000 years old, it would still taste like honey and be safe to eat. No other food has such lasting power! 故选A项。 根据第六段中“Because it’s difficult for any kind of bacteria (细菌) to survive in honey, it makes a perfect barrier on cuts and can prevent infection. 根据第一段“Honey is a sweet treat that most people take for granted. But it is more than just a topping for cakes or a sweetener for tea. It’s a miracle of sorts. 可知,蜂蜜不只是人们习以为常的用于蛋糕或茶的东西,而是一种奇迹般的存在,结合最后一段“The next time a bee flies through your garden or you spread some honey on a piece of toast, think about the miracle of honey. 故选A项。 4 Ways to Calm a Tense Situation Dealing with arguments can be challenging. Keep the conversation focused on the most important problem at hand. ____38____ ●Mind Your Words and Body Language ____39____ Speak softly and clearly. Avoid blaming phrases and defensive body language like pointing or crossing your arms. Instead, use open-ended questions to let the other person express themselves. Use positive phrases like, “Let’s solve this together,” or “I see your point,” to show that you understand and want to find an answer. ●Listen to the Feelings Behind the Words When people are upset, their words don’t always show their true feelings. ____40____ Are they scared, stressed, or hurt? Recognizing these hidden emotions can prevent you from focusing only on their sharp words. Even if you disagree, everyone wants to feel heard. Maintain eye contact, nod to show you are listening, and repeat their concerns in your own words to show you truly understand. A. Instead, try to break the pattern. B. Avoid focusing on their negative feelings. C. The following tips may help you stay safe. D. You can always deal with smaller issues later. E. Try to understand why they are acting this way. F. I have watched them on television since I was a little kid. But the most exciting part of hockey for my family was travelling from our home in the country to Toronto to watch them play live at Maple Leaf Gardens! My mom’s dad died when she was a teenager. My grandpa had season tickets to the Gardens. The tickets were given to my grandma and eventually they were passed on to my mom. Thanks to my grandpa’s legacy(遗赠), we have four first-row centre ice season tickets at Maple Leaf Gardens. For years, my dad, mom, twin sister Susan, and I cheered for the Leafs there—until my younger sister Aynsley was born, making our family five. As she grew up, she also began to watch hockey and travel to Toronto to Maple Leaf Gardens. Because there were only four seats, many times my mom would stay at home as the four of us—my dad, two sisters and I—went to see the Leafs. We always wished it could have been the five of us going together. Bad news struck when Maple Leaf Gardens announced its closure, with the last game on February 13, 1999, against the Chicago Blackhawks. Determined not to miss this historic night, we planned to change seats in turn through the three periods so everyone could attend. Susan volunteered to sit out the first part of the first period. Then I was set to change places with her so that she could see the game, too. But after the national anthems(国歌) played, I was overcome with a feeling that my sister should be sitting up there and I left my seat to change places with her earlier than planned. As I walked downstairs, heading towards the gate, a Maple Leaf Gardens ticket collector asked me where I was going. I explained that I was going to let my sister watch the game. “So you have a ticket?” he asked. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The man’s understanding and tolerance shocked me. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】 “So you have a ticket?” he asked. I showed him my ticket, and he took a moment to look at it. Then, with a kind smile, he said, “You know what? You kids, are so sweet. I can tell you really love this game and your sister. Why don’t you both go up and watch the game together? I’ll find a way to make it work.” I was stunned. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. “Are you sure?” I asked, my eyes wide with surprise. He nodded firmly. The man’s understanding and tolerance shocked me. I quickly ran back to get Susan. Together, we rushed back to the seats. Throughout the game, we cheered and shouted, fully enjoying the thrilling moments. I felt a deep sense of gratitude towards that kind ticket collector. His simple act of kindness not only made it possible for both of us to watch the game but also left a lasting impression on me. B Liu Hong, director of the Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Administration in Ganzi, dresses as a swordsman from Louis Cha’s novel The Smiling, Proud Wanderer, becoming a spokesman for the tourism resources of his hometown. C People who have trouble walking often have a hard time enjoying the beach. D Honey is a sweet treat that most people take for granted. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $该部分分为第一第二两节。 Hello, international friends club, can I help you?
