China’s 144⁃hour visa⁃free policy(过境免签政策) is a great opportunity for foreigners to know about a real China. This policy allows travelers from 54 countries to stay in China for up to six days without a visa, making it easier for them to experience Chinese culture, history, and daily life.
With this policy, overseas visitors can plan short trips to major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou and Chengdu. These cities not only showcase China’s rich history but also its modern development. Moreover, the policy encourages cultural exchange. Foreigners can try local foods, learn about traditional customs, and experience Chinese people’s daily life.
首页
Thanks to the new policy, true stories about China are spread through travelers’ postings on social media platforms including Facebook, Bilibili, and Douyin. After visiting China, travelers have praised the safety of China, Chinese people’s kindness, traditional Chinese culture, and the modern infrastructure(基础设施). “I’ve got so surprised when I saw old people dancing in the parks, young people eating out even at 10:00 at night, and children running to us saying hello! That’s absolutely different from what western media showed us,” said a visitor from France.
