Pre-reading 1a 1. Ask students to think about the question in la and then share their ideas with a partner. The teacher can remind them to introduce an animal in terms of look, food, home and abilities. 2. Invite some volunteers to share their answers. Teaching Tip:If there is enough time,the teacher can show students a video about elephants. Scanning Ask students to scan the text and answer the questions: · Who wrote the text? · Where is Malee from? Cultural Tip:Malee是一个常见的泰国女名,在泰语里意思是“花”。 · What's the genre of the text?
