Introduce some background information to students:There are 18 kinds of penguins on earth, Seven of them live in Antarctica. While-listening 2a 1. Play the audio. Have students listen to the conversation and circle the coloured words they hear. 2.Check the answers by asking students to read the conversation together. 3. Their participation in listening tasks and pair work was also active. However, more time should have been given to the 2e activity where students shared their favourite animals,since some had difficulty expressing details smoothly.
