典|例|精|析
典例1【2024浙江1月卷】Eva spent the first week of high school trying to keep her head above water. One of the major headaches for her was finding her way in the huge school building. It was a six-story building. On each floor, hallways stretched in four directions, leading to classrooms, laboratories, and teachers’ offices. Somewhere in the building, there was also a library, a cafeteria, and a gym.
Having a poor sense of direction, Eva found it impossible to get around in such a huge building. All the different hallways and rooms were too much to think about, let alone commit to memory. She decided that she would memorize where her classes were and then pretend that the rest of the place didn’t exist.
In her first PE class, Eva was shocked when Coach Pitt announced that everyone had to run one mile around the track outside. She searched the faces of her classmates for signs of panic. There was nothing she feared more than having to run a whole mile. To Eva, “a mile” was used to describe long distances. It was ten miles from her home to her grandfather’s, and that always seemed like a long way, even in a car!
When Coach Pitt blew his whistle (哨子), Eva figured she would be left in the dust. However, while some of her classmates edged ahead, others actually fell behind. ” It’s just the beginning, “she thought.” I’ll come in last for sure. “
Soon Eva began to breathe hard, with her heart pounding and legs shaking. Feeling desperate, Eva started using a mind trick on herself. She stopped thinking about the word” mile. “Instead, she focused on reaching the shadow cast on the track by an oak tree up ahead. Then she concentrated on jogging to the spot where the track curved (拐弯). After that, she tried to see if she could complete her first lap. One lap turned into two, then three, then four.

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Paragraph 1
When Coach Pitt said “Nice work!” to her at the finish line, Eva was surprised. She leaned against the fence, gasping for air with her hands on her knees, still unable to believe she had finished the mile. Her classmates cheered for her, and a big smile spread across her face. She thought about how she’d broken the huge task into small steps, and a surge of pride filled her heart. The cloud of fear that had hung over her before the run lifted instantly, and she felt a new kind of confidence she’d never had before.
Paragraph 2
Eva decided to use the same trick to deal with the school building. She no longer tried to memorize the whole building at once, but started with small goals: first the path from her classroom to the cafeteria, then to the library. Each small win made her braver, and soon she could walk around the school without getting lost. Small acts can give rise to a big difference, and this experience became a fruitful lesson for her. Today’s experience was like an everlasting flower, blooming in the river of my memories, reminding her that no matter how big the challenge is, breaking it into small steps will always lead to success.

变式1【2026届重庆市巴蜀中学高三上学期一模】This was West Central in the early 2000s, a neighborhood of middle-class people born and raised by the tracks, people who never dreamed of leaving. Much has changed since then.Luxury apartments have replaced the rusted trains. It’s barely snowed three inches this month.
Outside my window, another cold rain slaps Spofford Avenue. The park across the street is empty, a mess of dead-brown grass and dry leaves.
In my dreams, though, I see drifts of snow that are deep and blue enough to bury the moon. These are dreams of boyhood, of the gang of neighborhood boys who defined it. Back then, a couple feet of snow meant no school, and we played football every day.
Snow Bowls, as I remember them, were wild, violent events, a cross between sport and warfare. Without helmets or pads, we occasionally knocked each other unconscious. We broke wrists and bit ankles.
On snow days, we gathered on the big field behind our high school, where we’d pick teams, four or five a side. The captains were always the same. Matt Moore was a captain because he was faster and stronger than the rest of us and actually had experience playing organized football. Jimmy White was the other because he brought the football, and he believed supplying the equipment somehow gave him the right.
The games were untimed and there were hardly any rules. We played until the snow melted under our feet, or until someone got seriously hurt. The best Snow Bowls occurred when snow was still falling, covering our tracks and silencing the world around us. In the evenings, we’d play under the field lights, feeling like pros.
Two decades later, I’m the only former Snow Bowler who still resides in Spokane. The ones who moved away like to ask me for updates on home, as if our city is an elderly relative dying from cancer, and I’m the lone caregiver. I always steer (引导) our conversations back to the weather, especially the startling lack of snow this winter.

【答案】Last weekend, someone floated the idea of a 20-year high school reunion. The proposal sent a shiver of nostalgia through me. But the idea wasn’t simply to meet and chat — it was about reviving the Snow Bowls. Within minutes, a chorus of replies flooded in — “Count me in!” “Let’s relive the madness!” Before the call ended, we had a date set and a location chosen: our old high school field. Yet as the day approached, the skies turned ominously gray.
We hurried outside, and sure enough, snow was coming down in thick sheets. The cold stung my face as I stepped into the familiar field now blanketed in white. Laughter and shouted greetings echoed around me as old friends arrived. Without a word, we fell into our old routines — picking teams, dusting snow off the ball, and launching into a game that honored the spirit of our childhood. Rules were as carefree as they’d ever been, and the snow swallowed our shouts, just like old times. As I ran, breath crystallizing in the air, I felt a strange peace. Some things — this land, these people, the snow — would always be home.

变式2【河南省青桐鸣联考2025-2026学年高三上学期1月联考】When I was in the first or second grade, my mom’s new work schedule let her pick me up from school once a week to go to a nearby playground, where I first met Bob. He was sitting alone on a chair, watching other kids play — quiet and seemingly shy. I ran over to ask if he wanted to join, and he nodded eagerly. We had such a great time that I asked him to come again the next Friday. Mom later told me Bob had waited anxiously for us, saying he’d feared we’d forgotten him.
For weeks, Bob and I played together every Friday. I noticed he only had a few dirty clothes and often seemed tired, avoiding running games most kids loved. Later, we learned his family was poor — his parents struggled to care for him, and he felt ashamed of his situation, too embarrassed to join in active play. When I mentioned this to Mom, she gently told me to keep being his friend. “Bob just needs someone to accept him,” she said. “Help him see he’s just as good as anyone else.” Mom sometimes stayed nearby to chat with us. I did value our weekly time together, and slowly, Bob started to open up a little.
However, I didn’t know why Bob suddenly stopped coming. At first, I thought he was sick, but weeks passed with no sign of him. I felt heartbroken, thinking he’d avoided me because of his shame. Mom tried to comfort me, saying something might have happened to his family, but I couldn’t believe it — Bob had told me he lived close by.
I was so sad that Mom promised to find out what was wrong.

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
【答案】One possible version:
One evening, Bob called, saying that he had moved to a new neighborhood. His parents found a well-paid job so they moved to a new apartment a few blocks away. He said that he also missed me very much and wanted to have chances to play with me. Mom quickly arranged a playdate at another park. When we met, Bob looked cleaner and happier. To my joy, he was now willing to run and play actively, no longer holding back. Mom talked to him softly, encouraging him to be proud of who he was, and slowly, his shyness disappeared.
The encouragement that Mom and I gave changed him. Bob was a grade behind, having missed school due to his past — he still invited me to his birthday parties, always grateful we hadn’t ignored him when he was a lonely, insecure kid. Mom said I did something special by making friends with Bob, but I just wanted a playmate. Little did I know that simple act of kindness, guided by Mom’s wisdom, would give Bob the courage to overcome his lack of confidence and change his life forever.

典|例|精|析
典例1【2023年新高考全国Ⅰ&II卷】When I was in middle school, my social studies teacher asked me to enter a writing contest. I said no without thinking. I did not love writing. My family came from Brazil, so English was only my second language. Writing was so difficult and painful for me that my teacher had allowed me to present my paper on the sinking of the Titanic by acting out a play, where I played all the parts. No one laughed harder than he did.
So, why did he suddenly force me to do something at which I was sure to fail? His reply: “Because I love your stories. If you’re willing to apply yourself, I think you have a good shot at this.” Encouraged by his words, I agreed to give it a try.
I chose Paul Revere’s horse as my subject. Paul Revere was a silversmith (银匠) in Boston who rode a horse at night on April 18, 1775 to Lexington to warn people that British soldiers were coming. My story would come straight from the horse’s mouth. Not a brilliant idea, but funny; and unlikely to be anyone else’s choice.
What did the horse think, as he sped through the night? Did he get tired? Have doubts? Did he want to quit? I sympathized immediately. I got tired. I had doubts. I wanted to quit. But, like Revere’s horse, I kept going. I worked hard. I checked my spelling. I asked my older sister to correct my grammar. I checked out a half dozen books on Paul Revere from the library. I even read a few of them.
When I handed in the essay to my teacher, he read it, laughed out loud, and said, “Great. Now, write it again.” I wrote it again, and again and again. When I finally finished it, the thought of winning had given way to the enjoyment of writing. If I didn’t win, I wouldn’t care.

Paragraph 1:
A few weeks later, when I almost forgot the contest, there came the news. My history teacher rushed into the classroom during social studies, his face beaming with a smile brighter than I had ever seen. "You won! You won the first prize!" he announced, waving a certificate. The whole class erupted into applause. I was stunned, sitting frozen in my seat, unable to process the words. The story of Paul Revere's horse, born from my struggle and perseverance, had actually won. The thought of winning, which had long given way to the enjoyment of writing, now returned, filling me with an incredible sense of achievement.
Paragraph 2:
I went to my teacher’s office after the award presentation. Holding the certificate tightly, I thanked him for pushing me to enter. He looked at me with warm and proud eyes and said, "I always knew you had a special voice. You see, it wasn't about perfect grammar or spelling; it was about the story in your heart." Just as he had loved my stories and encouraged me to apply myself, his faith had guided me to discover a ability I never knew I possessed. That day, I learned that courage and hard work could turn self-doubt into a strength. My teacher, who once allowed me to present my paper by acting out a play, was now the one who guided me to find my own unique voice through writing.
范文解析(首尾呼应部分):
呼应点1: 范文第二段中老师的对话 "it wasn't about perfect grammar or spelling; it was about the story in your heart" 直接呼应了原文开头老师鼓励主角的原因 "Because I love your stories"。这表明老师看重的始终是主角内在的叙事才华,而非表面的语言技巧。
呼应点2: 范文第二段中 "Just as he had loved my stories and encouraged me to apply himself" 这句话,明确点出了原文中老师的要求 "If you’re willing to apply yourself",并指出正是这个要求引导主角发现了自己的潜能。
呼应点3: 结尾句 "My teacher, who once allowed me to present my paper by acting out a play, was now the one who guided me to find my own unique voice through writing" 呼应了原文开头老师允许主角用表演代替写作的往事,形成了从“用表演表达”到“用写作表达”的对比与升华,体现了老师在学生成长过程中一贯的因材施教和关键引导作用。

变式1【广东省南方科技大学附属中学2025-2026学年高三上学期第五次月考】In the final stage of the cycling race, with only 300 meters left, I was riding just behind my teammate Samuel.
We had trained together since freshman year at Seaside High. Every morning, we rode along the coast, breathing in salty air and pushing each other to go faster. We took turns leading the way, pushing each other to keep the pace, especially on long uphill roads. When one of us felt tired, the other would stay close and keep going. Over the years, Samuel and I had always treated every ride seriously.
Suddenly, Samuel’s tire blew out with a loud sound. Without stopping or looking back for help, he lifted his bike onto his shoulder and began to run toward the finish line, determined to complete the race properly. His steps were heavy, but he kept moving forward. From behind, I could clearly see how hard he was trying.
As I rode, many memories came back to me: a rainy day when we pushed our bikes through deep mud and refused to give up; a quiet night sitting on the river bank when we shared one orange and talked about racing abroad one day; and the chocolate bar he had secretly put into my pocket this morning, with “For luck” written on it.
I knew that with just a little more effort, I could pass Samuel and move ahead — to the podium spot (领奖台) we’d both been chasing. The thought was simple and clear, and my body was ready to act. But at the same time, my heart hesitated. Years of training, shared struggles, and long friendship suddenly weighed on my mind. Right then and there, almost like waking up from a dream, I reminded myself why I was here. With that in mind, I steadied my breathing as the finish line drew closer.

【答案】范文
So I did what I felt right. I took a deep breath, fixed my eyes on the road ahead, and pedaled with every bit of strength I had. As I approached him, I could almost feel his heavy breathing beside me. I passed Samuel smoothly, keeping my pace steady until I crossed the finish line. As soon as the race was over, I didn’t stop to celebrate. Instead, I turned back and ran alongside Samuel at a gentle pace, calling out words of encouragement again and again until he finally crossed the line.
Standing on the podium, I saw Samuel smiling at me in the crowd. There was no bitterness in his eyes, only pride. He nodded slightly, as if to say he understood my choice. I touched the chocolate bar still in my pocket and smiled back. When the medal was placed around my neck, my heart was filled with mixed feelings — joy for the result, but even more gratitude toward Samuel. I pulled him closer onto the podium and told the host that this moment belonged to both of us, for his persistence had pushed me to go further. The applause rose around us. I understood something clearly: the bond we had built through years of riding together mattered far more than any medal.

变式2【广东省深圳市致理中学2025-2026学年高三上学期一轮复习质量检测】I was sitting alone on a bench in the park, staring at the ground. The midterm exam results had just come out, and I had failed English again. My parents had high expectations of me, and I felt like I had let them down completely. Just then, I heard a soft voice behind me. “Mind if I sit here?” I looked up and saw an old man with a warm smile. He had a walking stick and his eyes were kind. I nodded silently, and he sat down beside me.
“You look really upset, young man,” he said gently. “Want to talk about it?” I hesitated for a moment, then poured out my troubles. I told him about my poor grades, my fear of disappointing my parents, and how hopeless I felt. The old man listened patiently, nodding from time to time. When I finished, he smiled and said, “I know exactly how you feel. I once faced a similar situation when I was your age. "He then shared his own story of failing an important exam and how he overcame the difficulty with the support of his family and teachers.
His words comforted me a lot. I felt a little better and thanked him for his advice. As I was about to leave, the old man handed me a small notebook. “Write down your goals and the steps you’ll take to achieve them. It might help,” he said. I took the notebook and promised to follow his suggestion. When I got home, I found my parents waiting for me, looking worried but not angry.

【答案】I walked up to my parents and handed them the notebook. They sat down with me, opening the notebook carefully. My detailed goals—reciting 30 words every morning, finishing a reading passage after school, and asking the teacher for help with grammar twice a week—made their eyes soften. Mom held my hand and said, “We never blamed you for the grade; we only worried you’d lose heart.” Dad nodded, adding, “This notebook shows your courage to start over, and we’ll support you all the way.” That night, we adjusted the plan together, and I stuck it on my desk. Every time I felt tired, the old man’s warm smile and my parents’ trust pushed me to keep going.
Weeks later, with consistent efforts, I made remarkable progress in English. I scored 92 in the monthly exam, ranking 15th in the class. Holding the report card, I rushed to the park where I met the old man, and luckily, he was sitting on the same bench. I handed him the report card and the notebook, telling him how his advice and my parents’ support changed me. He laughed and patted my shoulder: “See? Diligence always pays off.” As I walked home, the sunset painted the sky warm. I realized that failure isn’t scary; what’s terrifying is giving up easily. The notebook, the old man’s kindness, and my family’s love have become the most precious gifts in my growth journey.
