The 22-Month Journey of Discovery Adapted from Reader's Digest 202308 Neal Moore is New York State's Mohawk River by canoe①， approaching the end of a journey: began 22 months ago and covered 7，456 miles. The final leg⑧， 2，890 miles over several months, takes Moore east along the waters of the Gulf of Mexico, then up through Alabama, Tennessee and Kentucky, and eventually to New York City.
