答案:A。细节理解题,考查对医生诊断结果的理解;
解析:由医生说的 “Well there’s nothing really wrong with you.” 可知,医生告诉这个男人他没什么严重的问题,所以选 A。B 选项 “he was seriously ill”(他病得很重)与原文不符;C 选项 “his disease could not be treated”(他的病无法治疗)原文未提及;D 选项 “he had to pay the bills first”(他必须先付账单)也不是医生对他说的内容。

解析:根据 “He was worried because he couldn't pay his tailor’s bills. I told him not to worry about the bills any more. He followed my advice, and when he came to see me again two days ago, he told me that he now feels quite all right again” 可知,之前的病人感觉好了是因为他不再担心账单了,所以选 D。A 选项 “he had paid for the tailor”(他已经付给裁缝钱了)原文未提及;B 选项 “he had paid for the doctor”(他已经付给医生钱了)与病人感觉好的原因无关;C 选项 “he didn't like the tailor any more”(他不再喜欢那个裁缝了)在文中未体现。
