◇教学过程◇
Step 1 Leading in
1.Greet the class.
2.Write two sentences on the blackboard:“I have been to Beijing.” and “My father has gone to Beijing.” Ask students to guess the differences between the two sentences.Introduce the topic of this lesson:the use of have/has been,have/has gone,for and since in present perfect tense.
Step 2 Presentation 1:have/has been vs.have/has gone
1.Present the conversation between Daniel and Millie on the screen.Ask students to read it carefully and pay attention to the use of have/has been and have/has gone.
2.Explain the rules and give more examples to help students understand.
3.Ask students to make two sentences by themselves,one with “have/has been to” and one with “have/has gone to”.Invite some students to share their sentences.
Step 3 Practice 1
1.Work on A1
(1)Ask students to read the conversation between Amy and Shirley carefully.Fill in the blanks with the correct forms of have been/gone.
(2) Check the answers together.
2.Work on A2
(1)Ask students to complete Millie’s diary entry with the correct forms of have been/gone.
(2) Check the answers and explain the key points.
3.Organize students to work in pairs.Ask them to talk about their travel experiences using have/has been and have/has gone.Invite some pairs to share.
Step 4 Presentation 2:for and since
1.Present the sample sentences about for and since.Ask students to read them and observe the differences between for and since.
2.Explain the rules and give more examples.
3.Present the table about the conversion of non⁃continuous verbs to continuous state expressions.Explain that non⁃continuous verbs cannot be used with for or since in positive present perfect tense sentences.They need to be converted to corresponding continuous state expressions.
4.Give examples to illustrate each conversion and ask students to repeat and remember.
Step 5 Practice 2
1.Work on B1
(1)Ask students to complete Simon’s diary entry about Vicky’s trip to Beijing with the correct forms of the verbs in brackets.
(2)Check the answers together.
2.Work on B2
(1) Ask students to write four sentences about their travel experiences using have/has been,have/has gone,for and since.
(2) Invite some students to share their sentences with the class.Correct any mistakes.
