Step 1 Leading in
Greet the class and present some sentences on the screen,such as “I have been to Beijing twice.” Introduce the topic of this class—present perfect tense.
Step 2 Presentation
1.Explain the use of the present perfect tense:
(1)To talk about an action that started in the past and continues to the present.
(2)To talk about an action that happened in the past and has a connection with the present.
(3)To talk about how many times an action has happened up to the present.
2.Explain the basic structure of the present perfect tense:
Positive form:Subject+have/has+past participle+...
Negative form:Subject+have/has+not+past participle+...(have not = haven’t;has not = hasn’t)
Yes⁃no question form:Have/Has+subject+past participle+...?
Short answers:Yes,subject+have/has./No,subject+haven’t/hasn’t.
3.Present some examples from the reading passage and conversation to illustrate the structure.
4.Introduce the formation of past participles:
(1)Regular verbs:Add ⁃ed to the base form.
(2)Irregular verbs:Present some common irregular verbs and their past participles.Ask students to take notes and memorize them.
Step 3 Practice
1.Work on A
(1)Ask students to complete Millie’s notes with the correct forms of the verbs in brackets individually.
(2)Check the answers together and explain the reasons.
2.Work on B
(1)Let students complete Millie’s sentences with the correct forms of the verbs in the box.
(2)Check the answers.
3.Work on C
(1)Ask students to read the interview script and fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the verbs in brackets.
(2)Invite some students to read out the completed script.
4.Work on D
(1)Organize students to talk with their partners about the changes in their hometown using the present perfect tense.
(2)Invite some pairs to share.

本课时通过系统讲解和多样化的练习,帮助学生初步掌握了现在完成时的构成和用法。学生在完成基础练习时表现较好,但部分学生对不规则动词的过去分词记忆不够牢固,导致在练习中出现错误。后续教学中,增加不规则动词过去分词的记忆和巩固训练,同时为学生提供更多的语境化练习,帮助他们更好地掌握现在完成时的运用。
