Step 2 Presentation 1.Explain the four different ways of linking sounds together. 2.Write some words and phrases on the blackboard and ask students to practise reading the sounds aloud according to the rules. Step 3 Practice 1.Work on A (1)Ask students to listen carefully to the words and phrases and practise saying these words and phrases correctly. (2)Then check the answers together and ask students to read aloud. 2.Work on B (1)Play the recording of the poem My Neighbour for the students first,asking them to listen carefully. (2)Ask students to read the poem line by line,paying attention to the linking words.
