Step 1 Leading in
Greet the class and show some sample travel plans to inspire students.
Step 2 Brainstorming
1.Have students work in groups and discuss the places of interest in their city or town.Each group makes a list of possible attractions,restaurants and activities.
2.Encourage students to consider the unique features of their local area and how they can provide a memorable experience for a foreign visitor.
Step 3 Plan making
1.Guide students to organise their ideas with the help of the provided outline.They need to decide on the sequence of activities,allocate appropriate time for each and consider transportation and rest intervals.
2.Remind students to use the language tips and expressions learnt in the unit to make the travel plan vivid and informative.For example,they can use phrases like “When in [city name],do as the [locals] do” to introduce local customs.
Step 4 Share and present
1.Invite each group to present their travel plans to the class.The presenters should explain the details clearly,highlighting the attractions and cultural experiences included.They should also answer the questions from classmates and the teacher.
