Step 2 Work on 1a 1.Ask the students to write the animals in the box under the pictures in 1a. 2.Check the answers by asking some students to read out the words and correct the pronunciations if necessary. Step 3 Work on 1b 1.Play the recording for the first time.Let the students listen only and get a general understanding. 2.Play the recording for a second time.Ask the students to write down the answers to the questions. 3.Check the answers with the whole class. Step 4 Work on 1c 1.Play the recording.Ask the students to listen carefully and circle T or F in 1c. 2.Play the recording again.After listening，let the students discuss the answers in pairs and then check with the whole class.Explain the reasons for each answer to help students understand the details of the conversation. Step 5 Work on 1d 1.Divide the students into several pairs.Ask them to talk about their favourite animals using the learnt sentences.Encourage students to use adjectives to describe the animals. 2.Invite some pairs to act out their conversations.Give praise and suggestions for improvement.
