Strange School Rules
As students, we all know school rules. But some rules are strange. Here are two strange school rules. Do you think they make sense?
No red ink
Teachers usually use red ink to mark our homework and point out our mistakes. But red ink is banned (禁止) in many schools in Australia and the UK. Some people think red ink is bad for kids’ feelings. The colour makes kids scared and stressed. They think green, pink, yellow, purple and blue are more relaxing.
No hand-raising
Students often raise their hands in class to answer teachers’ questions. But a school in Nottinghamshire, England, bans hand-raising. The head teacher says teachers always see the same students raise hands. This is not good for other students to learn. Now, with the “no hand-raising” rule, teachers can choose any student to answer questions.
32. According to the article, some people think ________ are more relaxing than red.
①green ②pink ③yellow ④purple ⑤blue ⑥orange
A. ①②③④⑤ B. ①③④⑤⑥ C. ①②④⑤⑥ D. ①②③⑤⑥

I didn’t open the door for strangers and checked that the gas stove was off after cooking. I felt proud because I could take care of myself and the home safely. It was a meaningful weekend!
