Technology has done wonders for our world, from development in medicine, travel to our day-to-day lives. It has greatly changed how society works and how we connect with each other. However, as we fully welcome technology, a question comes up: Are we losing our ability to be creative? ①
On one hand technology supports creativity. Tools like design software, social media, and online platforms enable people to turn ideas into reality. For example, businesses use creative ads to share new products, while artists use digital tools to express themselves. ② Technology encourages innovative thinking and problem-solving.
However, there are downsides. Many people depend too heavily on computers for tasks like calculations, reducing their need to think for themselves. Others spend hours staring at screens, leaving little time for creative activities. ③
So, how can we balance technology and creativity? Here are some simple steps:
First, reduce screen time. Turn off unnecessary notifications (通知) or use “Do Not Disturb” mode (勿扰模式) to focus on real-world tasks.
Second, spend time outdoors. A daily walk in nature clears your mind and inspires fresh ideas.
Third, try screen-free hobbies. Reading, travelling, or drawing lets you explore ideas without technology.
The future of creativity depends on our choices. Will you put your phone down during meals? Will you try to find joy beyond screens? ④ Small actions today can improve the relationship between technology and creativity.
31. How does the writer start the passage?
A. By telling stories. B. By asking questions
C. By using numbers D. By expressing opinions.
32. What does the underlined word “innovative” mean in Paragraph 2?
A. Hard B. Positive C. Clear D. Creative
33. The sentence “Over time, this habit can weaken our natural creativity.” most probably comes from ________.
A. ① B. ② C. ③ D. ④
34. Which of the following does the writer most probably agree with?
A. Using phones less can help us to develop creativity.
B. Spending time on screens is the easiest way to keep focused.
C. Turning off the notifications on the phone will make us feel worried.
D. A daily walk is more helpful to physical health than to mental health.
35. Which of the following would be the best title for the passage?

Do you know why Paris 2024 Olympics was a “green” event? Its organizers have found a new way of going green: In some of the venues (场馆) in Seine-Saint-Denis, about 11,000 seats were made from recycled plastic.
The seats were produced by recycling company Lemon Tri and a few partners. They collected plastic waste and turned it into small pieces. These pieces were then mixed together and heated. After that, they were produced into black or white plastic. This plastic was then cut and made into seats.
Are these seats of good quality, you may ask? Don’t worry! A number of tests have been carried out (实施) on them. The result satisfied everyone. People can sit safely on the chairs and enjoy the excitement of the game.
The seats were made from about 100 tons of plastic waste. About 80 percent of the plastic came from local recycling bins. Local schools also collected about five million colored soda bottle caps and they were used in the making of the seats.
The seats not only help the environment, but also educate people about recycling. Augustin Jaclin is the co-founder of Lemon Tri. “Our kids put their bottles in the bins,” he said. “When they sit on the seats made from these bottles, it teaches them to recycle more in their daily lives!”

Technology has done wonders for our world, from development in medicine, travel to our day-to-day lives. It has greatly changed how society works and how we connect with each other. However, as we fully welcome technology, a question comes up: Are we losing our ability to be creative? ①
On one hand, technology supports creativity.
The future of creativity depends on our choices Will you put your phone down during meals? Will you try to find joy beyond screens? ④ Small actions today can improve the relationship between technology and creativity.

Everyone knows that plastic pollution is a huge problem for the environment now. Every year, over 300 million tons of plastic are produced globally. Plastic is hard to break down, so much of it ends up in soil and water, polluting them and harming the balance of nature and our health.
To solve this, governments should make strict laws to limit plastic use. Companies need to develop eco-friendly alternatives. As for us, we can use reusable bags and bottles instead of plastic ones.
Let’s act now. Join the “Say No to Plastic” campaign and make our Earth cleaner and greener!
