根据When to Go下面的“With an average annual temperature of around 25°C, the year in Grenada is divided into two seasons. The dry season is from January to May, and the rainy season is from June to December. The weather is hotter from June to November and cooler from December to March. Hurricanes happen during the rainy season.(格林纳达的年平均气温约为25°C,一年分为两个季节。旱季为1月至5月,雨季为6月至12月。六月到十一月天气更热,十二月到三月天气更凉爽。飓风发生在雨季)”可知,如果你想避开飓风,你可以在三月份去格林纳达。故选B。 【2题详解】 细节理解题。根据What You Can Do in Grenada下面的“You can’t miss Fort George and Fort Frederick built long ago, which have been standing for centuries. (你不会错过很久以前建造的Fort George和Fort Frederick,它们已经矗立了几个世纪)”可知,Fort Frederick最适合历史爱好者参观。故选A。 根据Safety下面的“Most hotels provide a safe in the room. Lock important things, like your passport in it.(大多数酒店都在房间里提供保险箱。把重要的东西锁在里面,比如你的护照)”可知,在格林纳达旅行时,把贵重物品放在酒店的保险箱里。故选C。 B A month before my first marathon, one of my ankles was injured and this meant not running for two weeks, leaving me only two weeks to train. Yet, I made up my mind to go ahead. I remember back to my 7th year in school. In my first P. E. class, the teacher required us to run laps and then hit a softball. I didn’t do either well. He later informed me that I was “not athletic”. The idea that I was “not athletic” stuck with me for years. When I started running in my 30s, I realized running was a battle against myself, not about competition or whether or not I was athletic. It was all about the battle against my own body and mind. A test of wills! The night before my marathon, I dreamt that I couldn’t even find the finish line. I woke up sweating and nervous, but ready to prove something to myself. Shortly after crossing the start line, my shoe laces (鞋带) became untied. So I stopped to readjust. Not the start I wanted! At mile 3, I passed a sign: “GO FOR IT, RUNNERS!” By mile 17, I became out of breath and the once injured ankle hurt badly. Despite the pain, I stayed the course walking a bit and then running again. By mile 21, I was starving! As I approached mile 23, I could see my wife waving a sign. She is my biggest fan. She never minded the alarm clock sounding at 4 a.m. or questioned my expenses on running. I was one of the final runners to finish. But I finished! And I got a medal. In fact, I got the same medal as the one that the guy who came in first place had. Make a firm decision, move forward, free of shame and worldly labels I can now call myself a “marathon winner”. 4. How did the author feel a month before the marathon? A. Confident. B. Tired. C. Determined. D. Hopeless. 5. Why did the author mention the P. E. class in his 7th year? A. To share a precious memory. B. To show he was not talented in sports. C. To amuse the readers with a funny story. D. To acknowledge the support of his teacher. 6. How was the author’s first marathon? A. He made it. B. He quit halfway. C. He got the first prize. D. He walked to the end. 7. What does the story mainly tell us? A. One is never too old to learn. B. Failure is the mother of success. C. A winner is one with a great effort of will. D. A man owes his success to his family support. C 5. B 6. A 7. 根据第一段内容“A month before my first marathon, one of my ankles was injured and this meant not running for two weeks, leaving me only two weeks to train. Yet, I made up my mind to go ahead.”(在我第一次参加马拉松前的一个月,我的一只脚踝受伤了,这意味着我两周都没有跑步,只剩下两周的训练时间。 根据第二段关键句“In my first P. E. class, the teacher required us to run laps and then hit a softball. I didn’t do either well. He later informed me that I was “not athletic”.”(在我第一节体育课上,老师要求我们先跑几圈,然后打垒球。 根据倒数第二段关键句“I was one of the final runners to finish. But I finished! And I got a medal.”(我是最后跑完全程的人之一。 故选A项。 通读全文,结合最后一段内容“Make a firm decision, move forward, free of shame and worldly labels (世俗标签). I can now call myself a “marathon winner”.”(做出坚定的决定,前进,没有羞耻感和世俗的标签。 C Parents of teenagers often view their children’s friends with distrust, worrying that their children will be pushed by their peers (同龄人) into doing something foolish or even dangerous. Their worries hold water. In a previous study, psychologist Laurence Steinberg found that a teenage driver with a same-age passenger in the car is at higher risk of traffic accidents than one driving alone or with an adult. In the following years, Steinberg examined why teens were more likely to take risks in the company of other teenagers. In a later study, by scanning (扫描) the brains of 40 teens and adults, Steinberg found the brains of teenagers, but not adults, showed greater activity in two regions associated with rewards when they were being observed by same-age peers. The reward systems of the brain are activated whenever people experience something rewarding, like eating a nice-tasting food, which make them feel satisfied. In this case, rewards are greater for teens, which motivates them to seek higher-risk experiences. But Steinberg thought peer pressure might also have its positive side. In the latest study, Steinberg’s team used a card game to research how peers affect the way young people gather and apply information. It involved 101 teenage boys who played either alone or with three peers. They chose cards from four decks (牌堆): two decks had “good” cards, and two “bad” ones. Players with peers were more willing to take risks, trying to figure out which decks could help them to win. The results showed that teens playing with their peers engage in more exploratory behavior, learn faster and achieve better performance on the task than those playing alone. Now some experts are proposing that we should take advantage of the teens’ keen sensitivity (敏感) to the presence of friends to improve education. “Risk taking in an educational context is a vital skill that enables progress and creativity,” wrote Sarah-Jayne Blakemore, a professor at University College London. 8. What do the underlined words “hold water” in paragraph 1 mean? A. Make sense. B. Face doubts. C. Bring relief. D. Start debates. 9. What is the reason behind teens’ dangerous behavior? A. Inability to tell right from wrong. B. A sense of satisfaction. C. Eagerness to follow their friends. D. Lack of social experience. 10. How does risk-taking affect teens in the latest study? A. It starts fights between them. B. It inspires them to question. C. It weakens their independence. D. It helps them to learn better. 11. What would Blakemore suggest teachers do in the classroom? A. Conduct group discussion. B. Improve time management. C. Encourage personal opinions. D. Develop decision-making skills. A 9. B 10. D 11. 根据划线词所在句“Parents of teenagers often view their children’s friends with distrust, worrying that their children will be pushed by their peers into doing something foolish or even dangerous. Their worries hold water.”(青少年的父母往往不信任他们孩子的朋友,担心他们的孩子会被同龄人怂恿去做一些愚蠢甚至危险的事情。他们的担忧hold water。)和下文“In a previous study, psychologist Laurence Steinberg found that a teenage driver with a same-age passenger in the car is at higher risk of traffic accidents than one driving alone or with an adult.”(在之前的一项研究中,心理学家劳伦斯·斯坦伯格发现,与单独驾驶或与成年人驾驶相比,与同龄乘客一起驾驶的青少年司机发生交通事故的风险更高。) 故选A项。 根据第二段中“The reward systems of the brain are activated whenever people experience something rewarding, like eating a nice-tasting food, which make them feel satisfied. In this case, rewards are greater for teens, which motivates them to seek higher-risk experiences.”(当人们体验到一些有益的东西时,大脑的奖励系统就会被激活,比如吃到美味的食物,这会让他们感到满足。 根据第三段中“Players with peers were more willing to take risks, trying to figure out which decks could help them to win. The results showed that teens playing with their peers engage in more exploratory behavior, learn faster and achieve better performance on the task than those playing alone.”(有同伴的玩家更愿意冒险,试图找出哪些牌组可以帮助他们获胜。 根据最后一段中“Now some experts are proposing that we should take advantage of the teens’ keen sensitivity (敏感) to the presence of friends to improve education.”(现在,一些专家建议,我们应该利用青少年对朋友在场的敏锐感知来改善教育。)和Blakemore的话“Risk taking in an educational context is a vital skill that enables progress and creativity,”(在教育背景下,冒险是一项重要的技能,它能够促进进步和创造力的发展。) 故选A项。 D Due to social events in recent years, the relationship between social media and teenagers’ mental health has been under heated discussion. On Sept 30, a British court decided that content on social media platforms contributed to the depression of 14-year-old Molly Russell. Russell interacted with 2,100 posts related to pessimism, self-harm in the six months, leading up to her depression, reported the observer website. The correlation has also been proved by science. A study in 2019 showed that the frequent use of social media by teenagers can lead to a decrease in their mental health. So, how can we make sure that teenagers won’t get hurt while using social media? Chan, 18, from the University of Macao shared her experience. Chan said that she once came across short videos romanticizing mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety. She immediately reported them to the platform. But she said that the users’ power to regulate videos is still limited. “It is ultimately the responsibility of the social media platforms to erase content that is potentially harmful.” She also noticed that the age of social media users has become increasingly younger. Society should pay attention to this, she said. “Since it’s not possible to cut off access to social media for younger users, why not introduce a ‘supervision mode’ with which parents can regulate the content to be viewed by teenagers beforehand?” she said. Wu Chengyu, 18, studies at Tianjin Experimental High School. He said that several years ago he came across a game that lures teenagers to self-abuse and depression. He quickly chose to ignore it so he wouldn’t be influenced. This is the same way he reacts when exposed to negative content on social media. In Wu’s opinion, teenagers today should improve their social media literacy (素养), telling real from fake and good from bad. “Also, everyone can be a content creator on social media.” he said, “We should all strengthen our awareness of ethics”. 12. What led to Russell’s depression according to a British court? A. Her interaction with others online. B. Negative information on social media platforms. C. Short videos she watched on the Internet. D. Her addiction to online posts. 13. Which of the following statements does Chan probably agree with? A. The number of younger social media users should be limited. B. A supervision mode ought to be introduced by parents. C. Parents should monitor the content to be viewed by teenagers in advance. D. It is the responsibility of the society to romanticize mental illnesses. 14. Who should be ultimately responsible for removing negative content according to Chan? A. Parents. B. Internet users. C. Content creators. D. Social media platforms. 15. What does Wu suggest teenagers should do? A. Use social media wisely. B. Reduce social media usage. C. Stay away from online games. D. Learn more about social media. B 13. C 14. D 15. 根据第二段中“On Sept 30, a British court decided that content on social media platforms contributed to the depression of 14-year-old Molly Russell.(9月30日,英国一家法院裁定,社交媒体平台上的内容导致了14岁的莫莉·拉塞尔的抑郁)”可知,社交媒体平台上的负面信息导致了拉塞尔的抑郁。 根据第五段中““Since it’s not possible to cut off access to social media for younger users, why not introduce a ‘supervision mode’ with which parents can regulate the content to be viewed by teenagers beforehand?” she said.(“既然不可能切断年轻用户对社交媒体的访问,为什么不引入一种‘监督模式’,让父母可以事先控制青少年观看的内容呢?”她说)”可知,Chan认为应该让父母提前控制青少年观看的内容,即父母应该提前监管青少年要观看的内容。故选C。 【14题详解】 细节理解题。根据第五段中““It is ultimately the responsibility of the social media platforms to erase content that is potentially harmful.”(“最终,删除潜在有害内容是社交媒体平台的责任。”)” 根据最后一段中“In Wu’s opinion, teenagers today should improve their social media literacy (素养), telling real from fake and good from bad.(在吴看来,现在的青少年应该提高自己的社交媒体素养,辨别真假好坏)”可知,吴建议青少年应该明智地使用社交媒体。故选A。 Have you ever thought of the reasons why we had better learn a second language? For years, he had been the model student in his teachers’ eyes. One Wednesday evening, he was invited to a classmate’s birthday party. He was having so much fun that he didn’t realize how late it was, and arrived home very late. Exhausted, he packed his schoolbag and was about to throw himself into bed when he saw his essay assignment book. A wave of horror washed over him — he had completely forgotten about the English essay, which had to be handed in the next morning. The deadline was firm, and his teacher, Mrs. Evans, never accepted late submissions. Panic set in. It was already midnight and he was too sleepy to think. The 600-word essay seemed an impossible mountain to climb. He felt desperate. “What should I do? It’s too late to write it now!” he muttered to himself. Suddenly, a tempting yet dangerous idea flashed through his mind. “Maybe... just this once, I can use AI to help me. No one will know.” He turned to his computer and used an AI tool to generate an essay on the topic. Without much review, he hastily copied it down into his essay assignment book and stuffed it into his schoolbag, his heart pounding like a drum. The next day, with a guilty conscience, he handed in the AI-generated work. To his shock, Mrs. Evans praised the essay highly in class, calling it “the most insightful and well-structured piece she has ever read.” Then came the worst part. “Tom,” Mrs. Evans said with a big smile. “Please come up to the front and share your ideas with the class. How did you develop such brilliant ideas?” A cold sweat burst out upon Tom’s forehead. The applause around sounded particularly jarring (刺耳的). He felt that the pressure brought about by his hidden secret was overwhelming him. He gathered his courage and walked to the front of the classroom. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】 He gathered his courage and walked to the front of the classroom. His palms were sweating and his heart pounded wildly. Taking a deep breath, he said in a trembling voice, “Mrs. Evans, everyone... I must confess — I used AI to write that essay. I’m truly sorry.” His cheeks burned with shame as he bowed his head. A heavy silence filled the room. Mrs. Evans’ smile faded into a thoughtful expression. After a long pause, she said gently, “Tom, I am disappointed in the choice you made, but I am also deeply moved by your courage to be honest.” She then turned to the class and added, “We all make wrong choices sometimes. What matters is what we learn from them.” Then a single clap came from the back of the room, soon growing into warm applause from the whole class. The applause was not loud or cheerful, but thoughtful and respectful, more for his honesty than for his mistake. In that moment, Tom understood that integrity carries a weight that no perfect grade could ever match. 词汇激活 行为类 ①承认:confess /admit ②鞠躬:bow /bend ③感动:move/touch 情绪类: ①快乐的:cheerful /delightful ②失望:disappointed /frustrated 【点睛】[高分句型 1] What matters is what we learn from them.(运用了what引导的主语从句和what引导的表语从句) [高分句型 2] Tom, I am disappointed in the choice you made, but I am also deeply moved by your courage to be honest.(运用了 省略that引导的定语从句) 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 2025—2026学年度第一学期期末质量监测 高一级英语科试题 注意事项: 1. A Here is something you need to know before your trip to Grenada. Failure is the mother of success. C. A winner is one with a great effort of will. D. A man owes his success to his family support. C Parents of teenagers often view their children’s friends with distrust, worrying that their children will be pushed by their peers (同龄人) into doing something foolish or even dangerous. D Due to social events in recent years, the relationship between social media and teenagers’ mental health has been under heated discussion. 12. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
