With the 2026 Spring Festival just around the corner, China Central Television (CCTV) has uncovered its mascots (吉祥物) for the coming Spring Festival Gala (晚会): four lively horses named Qiqi, Jiji, Chichi, and Chengcheng.
The four mascots perfectly show the Gala’s theme (主题) for the Year of the Horse: “Galloping steed, Onward Unstoppable” (骐骥驰骋,势不可挡). The theme comes from the “Li Sao”, an ancient poem (诗歌) in “Songs of Chu”, which talks about riding a quick horse to lead the way. It shows the Chinese nation’s spirit of moving forward and the confidence in achieving national goals and not being stopped.
▲ For example, Qiqi takes the form of a famous horse from the Western Zhou Dynasty (朝代). Jiji’s design comes from the “heavenly horse (天马)” of the Han Dynasty that shows the courage and power. Chichi gets its look in the Tang Dynasty “three-flower horse”. Finally, Chengcheng is connected with the Przewalski’s horse (普氏野马), showing the peace between humans and nature. All the four are decorated with traditional Chinese cloud pictures. This ancient design makes them more beautiful and meaningful.
In Chinese history, the horse means strength and good luck. These four mascots not only spread (传播) the joy of the Spring Festival, but also show the values of Chinese culture. Besides, through them, young people can see how Chinese art and history have come into the spotlight as they change and grow over time.
In short, Qiqi, Jiji, Chichi, and Chengcheng are cultural symbols, creating a living bridge between the past and the present. We will see them come to life at the 2026 CCTV Spring Festival Gala, sharing Chinese culture with the people in the world.

①Music is not just pleasant sounds we hear. It is a powerful art made of important parts like rhythm (节奏) and melody (旋律). These parts work together to create feelings. They can make us want to dance when the rhythm is strong, feel joy from a beautiful melody, or recall a happy memory. Because of this special power, scientists now see it as a tool to heal (治疗).
②This is especially true for helping people with Alzheimer’s disease (阿尔茨海默病), a brain illness that slowly takes away a person’s memory. Research shows that music therapy—a treatment run by experts who use music to help people—can make a difference. For example, when patients listen to the songs they loved in the past, it often helps to bring back old memories. Another example is that the same music can also make them less worried.
③So, what makes the music therapy so powerful? The answer is connected to our memory. Music has a special way of turning on many parts of the brain at the same time. One key area is the hippocampus (海马体), which works like the brain’s memory center. It helps us remember songs we knew. Another area, called the amygdala (杏仁核), deals with our emotions. For someone with Alzheimer’s, recent memories disappear fast, but older ones often stay strong. Music from that time can act like a key, unlocking their memories.
④Besides bringing back memories, music therapy helps to improve body movement. A clear rhythm can naturally guide the body to move. It can help patients who have difficulty moving keep their bodies active.
⑤Music therapy also makes patients feel they are connected to others. Making music together in a group, such as simple drumming or singing, creates a wonderful sense of togetherness.
⑥Music is not only for enjoyment. It has grown into a useful form of therapy that uses the natural power of sound and brain science to heal. By bringing back memories, encouraging movement, and creating a feeling of connection, music therapy offers real hope.
32. How does the writer develop Paragraph 2?
A. By giving facts. B. By listing numbers.
C. By asking questions. D. By giving examples.
33. What can we infer from the passage?
A. Music therapy can bring back all the memories of a patient with Alzheimer’s disease.
B. Alzheimer’s disease is so serious that it will take away people’s lives.
C. More patients with Alzheimer’s disease may choose to try music therapy.
D. Hippocampus and amygdala are two important parts for our memories and emotions.
34. What is the writer’s attitude to music therapy?
A. Disappointed. B. Hopeful. C. Worried. D. Surprised.
35. What is the structure of the passage?
A. B.
C. D.

第II卷 (共47分)
VI. 任务型阅读。(第65、66题每题2分,第67、68题3分,共10分)
阅读下文并回答问题。
Nowadays, customers can easily get help by clicking (点击) on the customer service of a website or calling the customer service hotline when they meet trouble. However, “AI customer service” usually comes before you talk to a real human.
Here are good reasons for companies (公司) to use AI customer service. It helps companies to save money and improve efficiency. AI customer service works all day and night without rest. This means fewer human workers are needed and it saves a great deal of money. What’s more, it understands and answers customers’ questions quickly, so customers don’t wait long. It can talk to many people at the same time, solving more problems every day.
However, it is not always happy to talk with AI. Here is what Tom experienced yesterday when he tried to get manual (人工的) service online.
“Why is it so difficult to get manual service now? Are there human workers online? AI is trying its best to get in my way!” Tom said to CCTV news.
Besides the trouble Tom met, there are other problems for AI customer service. AI customer service can’t always understand hard questions. When a problem is too complex (复杂的), it may give wrong or useless answers. Also, AI has no real feelings. It can’t understand a customer’s sadness or anger. When people are upset, talking to AI can make them feel worse because it only gives fixed (固定的) replies, not real care.
AI service should make the communication between people more efficient but not more difficult. “AI is greatly changing and shaping the world in 2025 to a new direction, but we should never make AI customer service a talking wall”, reports CCTV news.
41. Does “AI customer service” come before a real human when getting customer service?
____________________________________________________________________________________________
42. Why do companies use AI customer service?
____________________________________________________________________________________________
43. According to the passage, what are the problems of AI customer service?
____________________________________________________________________________________________
44. Besides customer service, what other things do you think AI can help with or bring trouble to? Why?
____________________________________________________________________________________________
【答案】41. Yes.
42. Because AI customer service helps companies to save money and improve efficiency.
43. AI service can’t always understand hard/complex questions or human feelings. Besides, it makes getting manual service more difficult for customers.
44. AI can help with tasks like translating languages or driving cars, but it might cause job losses for some workers because machines can do these jobs. AI can also make mistakes if not programmed well, which could be dangerous in things like driving.

根据第四段“AI customer service can’t always understand hard questions...it may give wrong or useless answers. Also, AI has no real feelings...not real care.”以及汤姆的经历(难以转接人工)可知,AI客服的问题包括:不能总是理解难题或人类情感,并且使客户更难联系到人工服务。故填AI service can’t always understand hard/complex questions or human feelings. Besides, it makes getting manual service more difficult for customers.
AI can help with tasks like translating languages or driving cars, but it might cause job losses for some workers because machines can do these jobs. Last week after the math test, Tom told his classmates confidently that he answered every question. But when the result came out, he got a C—much lower than he expected. On the other hand, Lily, who kept saying “I messed up the last two questions”, scored the highest in the class. This strange but common situation in school is a perfect example of the Dunning-Kruger effect (邓宁—克鲁格效应).
This effect greatly affects middle school students. For one thing, students like Tom may not want to study hard and use useless learning ways, which causes disappointing grades. For another, some top students like Lily might lose confidence to take part in class activities. In the future, Tom might choose science subjects to learn blindly, while Lily may give up her favorite courses just because of self-doubt (自我怀疑).
Why does this happen? The key reason is metacognition (元认知) —our ability to tell how well we perform. Without enough skills, Tom may find it hard to tell the difference between good and bad work, so he is overconfident in how he performs. However, Lily has good metacognition because she knows what “excellent” looks like. So, she is always on the way of self-improvement.
The Dunning-Kruger effect isn’t a problem we can’t solve. Ask your teachers or friends for honest opinions—they can see your strong and weak points clearly. Keep practicing and learning new skills can also help. As you get better, you’ll understand your ability in the right way. Finally, celebrate your small progress. Remember, realizing you still have room to grow is already a big step forward.
When unskilled students are overconfident or skilled students doubt their ability, _______53_______. This effect influences students’ grades, confidence and _______54_______. It happens because _______55_______. To solve the problem, experts suggest _______56_______, keeping learning, and celebrating growth when necessary.
【答案】53. this is the Dunning-Kruger effect/this is known as the Dunning-Kruger effect/they are experiencing the Dunning-Kruger effect/they show the Dunning-Kruger effect/we call this the Dunning-Kruger effect
54. future choices of subjects##future choices##future study##future education
55. people have different metacognitive abilities##people have different ability to tell good from bad
56. listening to others’ opinions##asking for others’ opinions

【53题详解】

【54题详解】

【55题详解】
根据第三段“Why does this happen? The key reason is metacognition...”可知,这种现象发生的原因是人们的元认知能力不同。空处应填“人们有不同的元认知”相关的句子。故填people have different people have different metacognitive abilities/people have different ability to tell good from bad。
【56题详解】
根据最后一段“Ask your teachers or friends for honest opinions...Keep practicing and learning new skills...celebrate your small progress.”可知,专家建议征求他人意见、持续学习以及庆祝成长。空处应填“听取/征求他人意见”相关的短语,suggest后接动名词。故填listening to/asking for others’ opinions。

③So what makes the music therapy so powerful?

D. Hippocampus and amygdala are two important parts for our memories and emotions.
34. What is the writer’s attitude to music therapy?
