but 80-year-old Natalie Grabow crossed the finish line with a big smile. She became the oldest woman ever to
complete the race in its 48-year history.
A triathlon is a very hard three-part race that demands both physical strength and mental focus. It checks how
well athletes swim, bike and run,but most of all,it tests if they can kecp going for hours without giving up.The
swim is 2.4 miles,the bike ride is 112 miles,and the run is 26.2 miles-totaling over 140 miles of non-stop
effort. The Ironman World Championship in Hawaii is the most famous and hardest one;the heat often reaches
32C,and the uphill parts of the bike and run legs push even young athletes to their limits.
Grabow is an 80-year-old grandmother,but she's very athletic.She couldn't swim until she was 59.When
she was young, girls were more often cheerleaders than athletes.Later, she played tennis and ran.Her running

practicing until she felt confident in the water.
n2005,Grabow joined her first half-ro(with shorter distances). In her early 60s,she made ittothe

Teachers need to fully understand how AI actually works so that they can make wise decisions on when
and how to use it.I recently met with a kindergarten teacher who was very worried. She asked me,'Do I
really have to use AI with my kids?I don't even know what it is."She was'under such pressure, and that's
not healthy. It's an incredibly difficult and unfair situation for teachers to be placed in.So it's very important
to slow down and make sure teachers feel comfortable and confident before integrating AI into schools,
It's important to think about using AI in ways suitable for different ages and address privacy concems.
While there are still gaps,I remain optimistic.AI can make life easier and help us be more productive and
creative if used as a helpful partner.
How do these innovations shape the future of education? Are you fearful or hopeful?I'm hopeful that
this could be a turning point where teaching and learning are greatly changed,as education has changed little
since it began.
AI is here to stay,so we have to decide to make it positive in the ways we want.If we don't do anything,
it could have negative effects. This feels like a big change, but people were also worried when computers and
smartphones were first introduced to schools. We have adapted to those and will adapt to life with AI too.
One of the fundamental goals of education is to prepare our students to contribute meaningfully to
society. With things changing as rapidly as they are,we need to equip students with the abilities they will
need to navigate and grow in a constantly developing world. We should emphasize learning how to learn and
how to adapt.

A.Supporting kids to learn AL
B.Integrating AI into her school.
C.Creating new technology for kids.
D.Teaching AI technology in her school.
29.What is the author's attitude to the potential of AI in education?
A.Worried.
B.Negative.
C.Doubtful.
D.Positive.
30.What does the author suggest teachers do about AI in education?
A.Help students accept AI technology.
B.Focus on teaching students AI skills.
C.Replace old teaching methods with Al.
D.Remove AI literacy from other courses.
31.What can be the best title for the text?
A.AI Literacy:a Hope for Students.
B.AI in Education:Challenges and Hopes.
C.Al Innovation:Transforming Education.
D.AI-driven Future:a Chance for Students.

Doctors in hospital emergency rooms often sce accidental poisonings.A scared parent arrives with a
child who swallowed a cleaning liquid.Or perhaps the harmful substance is a medicine.Or it might be a
chemical product meant to kill insects. These are common causes of accidental poisoning.
In cases like this, seek medical help as soon as possible.Save the container of whatever caused the
poisoning. And look on the container for information about anything that stops the effects of the poison.Save
anything expelled from the mouth of the victim. That way, doctors can examine it.
Millions of pcople know a way to save a person who is choking on something trapped in the throat. The
method is commonly known as the Heimlich manocuvre or abdominal thrusts, which you can do by getting
directly behind a sitting or standing person.Put your arms around the victim's waist.Close one hand to form

forcefully inward and upward.Repeat the abdominal thrusts until the object is expelled from the mouth. For
somcone who is pregnant or very fat, place your hands a little higher than with normal abdominal thrusts.
Red Cross experts say taking these steps can save many lives. But they also war that abdominal thrusts
are not for people who have almost drowned. They say use of the method could be a barrier to restart
breathing in the victim.Abdominal thrusts should be used only in cases where a near-drowning victim is
choking on an object.

It was a cool fall moming, and the sun was just starting to rise, casting a warm light to the quiet
neighborhood. For Alex,a senior high school student with a deep passion for science, was filled with both
excitement and nervousness.Today marked the final presentation of his science project, which he had been
working on for months. The topic was renewable energy, and Alex had built a model of a solar-powered car.
He hoped it would help him win the regional science fair.
Alex checked his bag one last time:notes, sides and the model car.Just as he was about to leave, his
younger brother John came into the room.with big,sorry-looking eyes.In his hand,he held a broken piece of
the car's solar panel"I'm really somry,Alex!"John said in a very quiet voice, his head down because he felt
guilty."I was just so curious.I wanted to see how it worked, and I didn't mean to break it"
Alex's eyes opened wide in shock, and his heart felt like it dropped to the bottom of his stomach. The
presentation was in a few hours, and there wasn't time to fix it.He thought about explaining what happened,
but he was worried it would sound like an excuse and make him less likely to win.He could put a battery in
the car and act like nothing was wrong. But when he thought about it,he felt uncomfortable. He was proud of
being honest, and the idea of cheating, even a little bit, made him feel sick.
As he walked to school, his steps were slow and heavy. He thought about all the late-night hours he
spent working at his work bench, how frustrated he was when the circuits didn't work, and how happy he was
when the car finally moved using solar power. His dreams of winning the competition and being recognized
for his hard work seemed to be going away. But then he remembered the talks at the dinner table a long time
ago, when his parents told him how important it was to be honest, responsible, and keep trying.Their words
kept playing in his mind.By the time he got to the school gates,a determined look was on his facc.He knew
exactly what he had to do.
