知识点01:询问物品是什么的句型。
解析:① “What’s this?” 表示“这是什么?”,用来询问距离说话者较近的物品。
② “What’s that?” 表示“那是什么?”,用来询问距离说话者较远的物品。
两者的回答都用:“It’s a/an …” 或者也可以直接用单数物品来回答。
例句:1.—What’s this? 这是什么? —It’s a doll. 它是一个玩具娃娃。
2.—What’s that? 那是什么? — An apple. 一个苹果。
[拓展] this 这个,复数:these 这些
that 那个,复数:those 那些
当询问物品为复数时,用句型:“What are these/those?”,回答为:“They are …”

知识点02:be动词的一般疑问句
解析:确认某物是不是某样东西,我们可以使用到be动词的一般疑问句。
单数句型:Is it …? 回答:Yes, it is./ No, it isn’t.
复数句型为:Are they …? 回答:Yes, they are./ No, they aren’t.
注意:在名词前也可以用形容词性物主代词(my, your等)修饰,那么问句有确认物品所属关系的意思。
例句:—Is it your pencil? 它是你的铅笔吗?
—Yes, it is./ No, it isn’t. 是的,它是。/不,它不是。
—Are they your pencils? 它们是你的铅笔吗?
—Yes, they are./ No, they aren’t. 是的,它们是。/不,它们不是。
注意:肯定回答中的it is和they are都不能缩写。

解析:该句型用于将某物送给别人,意为“它是给…的”,复数句型:They’re for …
句型中的for意为“给”,是介词,后面接名词或人称代词的宾格形式作宾语。
拓展:除此之外,还可以用 “This is for …”或者 “This+可数名词单数/不可数名词+is for …”,意思是“把某物送给…”,它们的回答都可以用 “Thank you./Thanks./ No, thank you/thanks.”
