David: Amy, you've explored Paris online, haven't you?
Amy: Yes. The city has so much to see—streets, squares, historic buildings, museums and so on. I love online travel. It's fast, easy and free.
David: That's true, but it isn't the same if you aren't at the place in person.
Amy: It depends on the website. Some of them look so real.
David: I like to walk around and take photos. I can't do that online.
Amy: You're right, but why walk if you can travel and be comfortable in your chair?
David: I see your point, although I still prefer real travel.
Amy and David are talking about the advantages and disadvantages of online travel.Work in pairs and talk about the topic. Use the conversation below as a model.

the Louvre Museum
Listen and read Simon's article about his online tour of the Louvre Museum.
My online tour of the Louvre Museum
I learnt about the Louvre Museum in my Art lesson. I got very interested and decided to explore it online.
The Louvre lies in the heart of Paris, France. It used to be the home of French kings and queens and became a museum in 1793. It is well known for its rich collection of classical paintings and sculptures.
I toured all four floors and saw so many fantastic works of art. I could zoom in on the artwork to see every detail. There are also interesting introductions to the artworks so it is easy to learn more about them.
Online travel is a great way to visit museums. The video tours and photos were excellent. I felt like I was there in person. Moreover, there were no crowds, and it was completely free. I really had an amazing experience.

You can see many beautiful halls inside. The most famous ones are the Hall of Supreme Harmony and the Palace of Heavenly Purity. Now, it is a museum. Millions of visitors come to see its magnificent buildings and precious treasures every year. It is a symbol of China's rich history and culture.
