Ⅲ.阅读理解(每小题2分,共10分)跨地理
The area of Mingcui Lake National Wetland Park was once a place that people didn't like: waste water caused bad smells and almost no grass could grow on the land. Now, it not only becomes a popular place for people to take a walk, but also a good place for birds and other animals to live in.
Li Zhijun is a member of a bird protection organization (组织). He saw the great changes. According to him, Mingcui Lake National Wetland Park is now a famous place for bird photographers. More birds would like to stay here in winter.

Panjin in Liaoning Province is another amazing wetland city. In the past, the city had a lot of pollution because of oil production. But now in the wetlands by the sea, the seagrass turns red every autumn, creating the beautiful “red beach”.

Ⅳ.阅读表达(每小题2分,共10分)
阅读短文,根据短文内容回答问题。
My father is quiet most of the time. There is one thing that gets him excited. Just say the word “garbage” to him! Or I should say, he is very interested in dealing with the garbage problem.
Last year, my father decided to do something about all the wasted food we threw away. Each family wastes a large amount of food yearly—— nearly0.25 ton. We usually throw away the unfinished rice, dishes, and so on.
However, there is something we can do to deal with it. If we properly deal with food waste, it can be changed into compost(堆肥). This compost can be added to vegetable gardens to make the plants grow really well.
To deal with food waste in my family, my father came up with a good idea: Instead of throwing away all our food waste, we put it into the compost bin (箱). Mother Nature will slowly turn it from garbage into a useful tool. Three months later, we were surprised to find that it was full of rich compost material (材料)!
Next time you eat outside, just order what you need. Similarly, just make what you need at home when cooking. This also helps to avoid wasting food. Do you have any other ideas? Think about it.
31. What is the writer's father really interested in?
32. How much food waste does each family make yearly?
33. What can food waste be changed into according to Paragraph 3?

Dear John,

The aim was to raise awareness about environmental protection. First we took part in many kinds of activities. We planted trees in the morning. Then we listened to a speech given by an expert. Lastly, we made a poster to call on people to protect the environment. It was a meaningful day and made me realize the importance of caring for our planet.
After the activities, I felt very inspired. I plan to recycle more and reduce waste in my daily life. I also want to encourage my friends and family to join me.
Yours,
Li Hua
