I had one year left at senior high school, and was interested in studying medicine at university. I thought it would be the perfect chance to see if I really wanted to be a doctor. It was a month that changed my life. I was introduced to a completely different world from the one I knew in so many ways, and I soon realized how difficult people’s lives can be. But I was also amazed at how positively (乐观地) people go about their everyday lives. The way they come together and help each other is a real encouragement, which is something I think a lot of us here in the UK have forgotten. I think many of us don’t realize how lucky we are. Although I’m a girl, I’m not afraid of getting dirty or tired at all. My work in the hospital was hard. I spent a lot of time cleaning floors, and I also got to spend some time looking after the patients. I even got the chance to talk to some doctors and ask them about the profession. All of them told me how difficult being a doctor in that hospital was sometimes—hard work and long hours, and so many emotional (情绪的) challenges. But all of them also said that they didn’t want to practise their profession anywhere else, because having seen the influence they were having on that community, they just wanted to go on. At times, it was a difficult experience, but it didn’t change my mind about being a doctor. Actually, I have made up my mind more strongly to do medicine and to work with the doctors and nurses I worked with there. When I finish, I know exactly what I’m going to do: I want to work for an international organization like the Red Cross or Médecins sans Frontières, so I can spend my life helping people overseas who really need it. I can’t wait to get started. 61.Did the writer study at senior high school or at university last summer? 62.Why did the writer’s parents help out in a hospital in Rwanda? 63.What tasks did the writer do in the hospital in Rwanda? 64.Why did doctors only want to practice their profession in that hospital? 65.How is the girl according to her experience in Rwanda? 以“The Earth is our home”为题,写一篇英语短文,呼吁人们保护地球,内容包括: (1) Choose one natural disaster and talk about the results of it. 61.At senior high school. 62.Because they work for a charity. 63.Cleaned floors and looked after the patients. 64.Because they have huge influence on the community. 65.She’s hard-working. 61.根据“I had one year left at senior high school, and was interested in studying medicine at university.” 故填At senior high school. 62.根据“Last summer, I got the chance to spend a month helping out in a hospital in Rwanda with my parents, who work for a charity.” Because they work for a charity. 63.根据“I spent a lot of time cleaning floors, and I also got to spend some time looking after the patients.” Cleaned floors and looked after the patients. 64.根据“But all of them also said that they didn’t want to practise their profession anywhere else, because having seen the influence they were having on that community, they just wanted to go on.” Because they have huge influence on the community.。 65. 故填She’s hard-working. 以“The Earth is our home”为题,写一篇英语短文,呼吁人们保护地球,内容包括: (1) Choose one natural disaster and talk about the results of it.
