Unit 8 Let’s Communicate! Section B Project: Tell a Chain Story
教学目标
1. 学生能够理解并正确运用第一条件句 (First Conditional) “If + Present Simple, ... will/may/might + verb...”的结构来编写句子。
2. 学生能够掌握构建连锁故事的“四步法”(选择主题、构思开头、添加链条、创造结尾),并创作一个逻辑连贯、结构完整的连锁故事。
3. 通过在故事中融入“帮助他人”、“善良”等有意义的主题,鼓励学生表达积极的情感态度,并通过创作获得成就感。
教学重难点

1. 第一条件句的理解与运用。
2. 连锁故事“环环相扣”的写作技巧。
教学难点:
1. 如何在保证逻辑合理的基础上,为故事增添创意与趣味。
2. 如何有意识地设计一个自然且巧妙的故事结尾(循环结尾/意义结尾/惊喜结尾)。

Teacher: Presents the cat chain story.

Students: Order the pictures, think and perceive the form of a chain story.
激发兴趣,初步感知。通过排序任务和提问,将学生迅速带入学习情境,引导他们主动观察故事特点,为后续分析做铺垫。
Step 2: Let’s read and think. (P5-7)
Teacher: Guides students to analyze the cat story and jointly summarize four core tips:
1. Use the first conditional.
2. Link the sentences.
3. Create a circle.
4. Be logical and fun.
Students: Follow the teacher’s guidance to discover and understand the four writing tips.
引导发现,建构知识。改变直接告知规则的方式,让学生在教师引导下自主发现写作技巧,使知识内化更深刻、更持久。
Step 3: Let’s create together. (P8-11)
Teacher: Uses the “Four-Step Method” to create a new story with the students.
Step 1: Chooses a topic (“Helping Others”)
Step 2: Think of the starter. Guides students to make a logical and meaningful choice by comparing three starter options (A/B/C).
Step 3: Add the chain. Guides students to develop the story and explains the use of “might”, emphasizing grammatical accuracy.
Step 4: Make an ending and polish the chain. Presents complete examples of “Circle and Surprise” endings, explaining their different effects.
Students: Think and write, following the teacher step-by-step to complete the story creation.
搭建支架,做中学。通过“师生共创”和“选择对比”的方式,将抽象的写作技巧转化为可视、可操作的步骤。
Step 4: Let’s review and evaluate. (P12-13)
Teacher: Reviews the four tips and presents a complete sample story about “Responsibility” along with an evaluation table. Instructs students to use the table to evaluate the sample story.
Students: Read the story, and use the evaluation table to evaluate it from four dimensions: idea, grammar, logic and ending.
巩固认知,学以致用。总结环节强化记忆。评价活动将学生从“创作者”暂时转变为“评价者”,通过应用标准来加深对“好故事”标准的理解,为修改自己的作品做准备。
Step 5: Let’s create. (P14-15)
Teacher: Provides three story starters and instructs students to independently create their own chain stories (at least 5 sentences).
Students: Apply the learned tips, and complete their own chain story.
能力迁移,成果输出。学生将前面所有环节中学到的知识综合运用,完成属于自己的作品,形成学习闭环。
Step 6: Homework. (P15)
Teacher: Assigns differentiated homework.
Must-do: Rewrite your chain story neatly on a separate piece of paper. Make it your best work!
Choose-to-do: Draw a comic strip (连环画) for your story. One picture for each sentence!
Students: Complete the homework after class.
