Ne Zha is a famous hero in traditional Chinese stories. In the 2019 cartoon Ne Zha, villagers are scared of him, because the villagers think he is a demon(妖怪)But Ne Zha has a kind heart, though he often feels lonely. Luckily, his parents love and protect him. Later, Ne Zha makes friends with Ao Bing, a dragon prince. They fight together against a big problem to save their home. Ne Zha tries hard to show he is a hero, not a bad demon.
This movie teaches us a good lesson. True courage(勇气) comes from our hearts, not from what others think. Also, many kids like the friendship between Ne Zha and Ao Bing.

Last summer,I decided to grow sunflowers in my backyard. At first, my plant was much smaller than my younger sister's. Her sunflower grew faster and looked healthier than mine, with greener leaves. Looking at my own plant,I felt a little sad.My dad noticed my sadness and said, “Plants, like people, grow at their own pace (速度). Just take better care of it!”
Every day,I watered my sunflower more carefully than before. I also placed it in the sunniest corner in the yard where it could get more sunlight. Slowly, my plant started to grow taller and stronger. Gradually, its stem(茎) became thicker than before, and the leaves spread wider. By late July, it was almost as tall as my sister’ s!
One afternoon,a heavy storm hit our town. My sister's sunflower, which had grown too quickly, fell over. But mine stood straighter and firmer because its stem had become thicker over time. I realized something important: slower growth can sometimes make you stronger.
That summer taught me about patience and effort. Just like my sunflower,I learned that becoming better at something—— whether it's maths, sports, or friendship—— isn't about being the fastest or the biggest. It's about trying harder every day and trusting the process.
Now, when I face challenges, I remind myself:“Real growth isn’ t about growing faster. Everyone has their own path. The key is to try with patience and trust that our own.” After all, life isn't a race. The most beautiful growth happens when we give ourselves time to bloom.
11. Why did the author feel sad at first?
A. His sister didn't help him. B. His dad criticized(批评) him.
C. The storm destroyed his plant. D. His sunflower was smaller than his sister’ s.
