学情分析
学生在前面的课堂上已经学习了节日的表达方法，本节课通过学习，让学生更深刻解读世界各地庆祝新年的活动，能用自己的语言描述各国新年活动。
教学目标
1.语言能力：
能够在谈论新年的语境中，正确理解和掌握课文中的新词和用法，如： reunion，
involve, crowd, bottom, custom 等。
2.文化意识：
了解国内外如何庆祝新年，如英国大本钟跨年，美国的降球仪式和埃及的闻风
节，扩展国际视野，理解新年对于全人类的共同意义，实现跨文化交际。
3.思维品质：
运用思维导图理清四个不同国家庆祝新年的时间和庆祝方式并进行对比，提高思维的逻辑性。
4.学习能力：
能够通过阅读有关新年的文章，保持英语学习兴趣；了解说明文写作手法，通过推测，快读，细读，猜词等阅读策略的感悟、体验和学习，增强阅读理解能力。
