请阅读下面这篇文章,根据所提供的信息,回答5个问题。要求所写答案语法正确、语义完整,并把答案写在答题卡指定的位置上。
Dear Mike,
I often argue with my parents. But after that, I feel bad about myself. What can I do to control myself?
Linda
Dear Linda,
For a long time, I’ve had the same problem. I remember a year ago, I started to lose my hearing. The doctor said I needed more vegetables and calcium (钙). Since then, my mother has made vegetables for me every day and told me to take calcium pills. I didn’t like either of them. I complained. I realized I hurt my mum’s feelings. My mother cried a lot because my words and actions made her feel sad.
Our parents are close to us, and when problems come up, we should try to think from their side. When you are angry with your parents, to calm down, please try to do something else, like listening to music or running. I think if you can talk to your parents calmly, you will communicate better with each other.
Mike
1. When did Mike start losing his hearing?
2. How often has Mike’s mother made vegetables for him?
3. Why did Mike’s mother cry a lot?
4. How can Linda calm down when she is angry with her parents?
5. Will Linda communicate better or worse with her parents if she talks to them calmly?

Dear Miss Wang,
I am glad to share my experience on “how kindness encourages more kindness” with you. One day last week, I had a heated argument with my classmate, Peter, in the classroom. We held different opinions on a difficult math problem. We were both so angry that we stopped talking to each other.
Later, I felt regretful and realized I should be more patient. So, I walked up to him and apologized sincerely. To my surprise, Peter smiled warmly and said sorry to me, too.
From this, I learned that kindness is the key to solving conflicts. It not only warms hearts but also encourages more kindness in return.

A.回答问题

Everyone has different opinions. This is very common. Your opinion is one of the things that make you different, according to Lisa Linardatos, a clinical psychologist (诊疗心理学家) from Canada.
It is okay to express your own opinions. It allows you to share yourself with others. But you should be careful about how you express your opinions.
First, listen to other people carefully. You may be eager (热切的) to explain your idea, but you should listen to others’ opinions first, because this will help keep the conversation (谈话) calm. In this way, you will get a chance to better understand their side in the conversation.
Next, express your own opinion politely. Remember, you’re not trying to start an argument. Don’t express yourself too eagerly. Winning or losing is not the point. Don’t try to make your friends think like you.
Last but most importantly, show your friends that you value your friendship, even if you disagree about some things. This can stop both of you from becoming too emotional (情绪化的).
In the future, you may have different opinions from many people. In fact, this can be a good thing. You can even learn from it. For example, sometimes you may not realise that your ideas are wrong. But by sharing them with others, you have a chance to learn, according to Li Songwei, a Beijing-based psychologist.
1. What is one of the things that make you different?
2. Why should you listen to others explain their opinion first?
3. How many pieces of advice are given about how you express your opinions?
4. How can you have a chance to learn according to Li Songwei?

Dear Mr/Miss,
I am happy to share my experience on “understanding brings us closer” with you.
Last month, I had a disagreement with my best friend, Lily, over a group project. We both got so upset and stopped talking to each other. However, I realized that I hadn’t listened to her ideas carefully. Once we sat down and exchanged our thoughts openly, we understood each other much better. From this experience, I’ve learned that true understanding comes from honest communication. By respecting each other’s opinions, we can build deeper friendships.
Understanding truly helps us connect deeply!
Yours,
Li Hua

Passage 8
A.回答问题
请阅读下面短文,根据所提供的信息,回答5个问题。要求所写答案语法正确、语义完整切题。
My family has always had family dinners, as far as I can remember. Since I was a little boy, my mother has insisted (坚持) that we attend family dinners at least once a week. Every Sunday, my mother would prepare a lot of food and bring it to my grandma’s house. We would wait for more family members to come before eating together at the table, my grandma’s dinner table.
I used to feel that was a silly little tradition. But now I find it’s fantastic to get together as a family to talk about anything and everything after a long week of school and work. Every time I sit at the table, my grandma’s dinner table, I look around and find so many people who truly love me. It’s love that feels so good. For me, dinner is not just a dinner, but a chance to reconnect with each other.
I finally realized the true meaning of this tradition. It’s not about the dinners or activities. It’s about family, a group of people who care about each other. All the memories (记忆) around my grandma’s dinner table will last forever.
Now, I’m always expecting Sunday to arrive.

In our daily life, we have to get along with all kinds of people. To get on well with them will really do good on our life, Now I really get on well with
【答案】1. The writer’s mother. 2. The writer’s grandma’s house. 3. It was a silly little tradition. 4. Yes, he does. 5. All the memories around his grandma’s dinner table.
范文
In our daily life, we have to get along with all kinds of people. To get on well with them will really do good to our life. Now I really get on well with my classmates.
I remember when I was new to this school, I had no friends and felt lonely. And my classmates were not very friendly to me. One day, I tried to ask if I could play basketball with them. I’m tall and strong, and play basketball very well. Then we took part in the match together and won the match against another school team. Finally we became good friends.
However, how to get on well with others is really a problem puzzling most of us. In my opinion, the most important is to respect; you should respect other people like respect yourself. Kindness is necessary; sometimes other people may hurt you inadvertently, don’t be mad, just forgive them. In addition, if you can help other people with pleasure and show your consideration for them, everybody will like to be with you. Remember the point — treat everyone as you want to be treated.

Passage 10
A.回答问题 请仔细阅读下面短文,根据所提供的信息,回答下面问题。要求所写答案语法正确、信息完整切题。
Everyone lives in social groups from the day we are born. In a family, there are parents and relatives. In the school, there are teachers and classmates. At work, there are teammates and leaders. Sometimes, small things can cause misunderstandings (误解) and make our relationships worse. But if we want to fix things, we should try to understand others’ feelings. It’s important to treat relationships correctly.
To understand others better, we should learn some basic knowledge. Our feelings such as tiredness or illness can all influence our ability (能力) to understand others. When we’re happy, we’re more willing to help and understand others. But when we’re angry, it’s harder to consider others’ thoughts.
One of the best ways to understand others is by listening. When someone is talking, listen carefully. It makes them feel good and more likely to share their problems. Sometimes, we only think about our own opinions and refuse to listen to others. However, if we do that, we won’t accept each other.
No matter where we are in life, when we have different opinions or face difficulties, we should stay calm and think carefully. We can build good relationships by listening and trying to understand others. This makes us understand each other better.

The students joined classes at local schools. At first, the American students were a bit worried, because they thought the Chinese students didn’t speak English well. However, their Chinese friends soon showed they could communicate clearly.
For all the students cultural activities were fun. The Chinese students taught the American students paper-cutting, Chinese writing, and how to make dumplings—though Liu Ruiqin joked that their first try looked messy. American students shared popular songs, films, and common English words. Jiang Zheng found it funny when her classmates asked how to say “stop talking” in Chinese
Even with some language problems, students became close friends. Though he is back in China now, Liu Ruiqin still keeps in touch with his American friends through WeChat. Once, he shared photos of yuanxiao with them during the Lantern Festival.

There are many reasons, and I think the most important one is that friends can make our world more and more colorful. When we are happy, they will share our happiness; when we are down (沮丧),they will always cheer us up; when we are in trouble, they will always be ready to help us out.
I have a friend like this. Her name is Amma. She is more outgoing than me. She can get on well with everyone. She shares everything with me. As for hobbies, we both like studying computer science. Last week, she won a prize in a computer competition. I was really happy for her and really proud of her. In study, we usually help each other and learn from each other. I am weak in math. She often helps me with math. Thanks to her help, I made great progress in the final math exam.
Friends are like mirrors and they can light up our life. My friends are very important to me and I can’t live without them.

Passage 9
A.回答问题
Dear Dr Lin,
I’m really angry with my son, Jack. He is 15 years old. I find that the older he grows, the less we talk. He refuses to communicate with me. I feel very sad and I really need help.
My problem is about Jack’s hobby. He spends almost all his spare time playing phone games. When he gets home, he always shuts himself in his room. No one knows what he is doing. I’m getting worried about him, especially when his English teacher tells me he always gets low marks in the English exams.
In some way, Jack is crazy (疯狂的) about phone gaming, and he spends thousands of yuan on his game equipment (装备) every month. But I don’t have enough money and I can’t pay for all the things he wants. Yesterday, he asked me for 5,000 yuan, but I refused (拒绝). In the end, he argued with me loudly.
His teacher told me that Jack is always alone at school. He never talks happily with anyone else. He never hangs out with anyone after school. He seems to have few friends. And of course, he doesn’t do well in his studies. He attends break activities only once or twice every month.
I don’t know what to do now. Sometimes I can only cry. I need your help. Can you talk with him?
