【课标分析】
《普通高中英语课程标准》(2017年版2020年修订)指出:普通高中英语课程的总目标是全面贯彻党的教育方针,培育和践行社会主义核心价值观,落实立德树人根本任务,在义务教育的基础上,进一步促进学生英语学科核心素养的发展,培养具有中国情怀、国际视野和跨文化沟通能力的社会主义建设者和接班人。
学科核心素养是学科育人价值的集中体现,是学生通过学科学习而逐步形成的正确价值观、必备品格和关键能力。英语学科核心素养主要包括语言能力、文化意识、思维品质和学习能力。
英语课程内容是发展学生英语学科核心素养的基础,包含六个要素:主题语境、语篇类型、语言知识、文化知识、语言技能和学习策略。
英语学习活动观是指学生在主题意义的引领下,通过学习理解、应用实践、迁移创新等一系列体现综合性、关联性和实践性等特点的英语学习活动,使学生基于已有的知识,依托不同类型的语篇,在分析问题和解决问题的过程中,促进自身语言知识学习、语言技能发展、文化内涵理解、多元思维发展、价值取向判断和学习策略运用。这一过程既是语言知识与语言技能整合发展的过程,也是文化意识不断增强、思维品质不断提升、学习能力不断提高的过程。
基于以上课标分析,教师在授课中应时刻关注英语学科核心素养的培养,基于课程内容,设计教学环节,落实英语学习活动观。具体体现在:
教师在本单元主题语境“人与自我”的引导下,结合单元大观念,对“工匠精神”进行深入剖析与探讨。在语言能力方面,学生通过各种形式的活动,如阅读语篇、观看视频、写文章介绍“心中的工匠”并进行课堂展示等,发展了听、说、读、看、写等方式理解和表达的能力;文化意识方面,通过对国外传奇摄影师Bill Cunningham传奇一生的学习,感知中外优秀的精神品质,使学生加深对优秀文化的认同,增强跨文化认知,同时介绍自己国家和身边令人尊敬的“工匠”,有利于学生增强国家认同和家国情怀;在思维品质方面,通过对语篇中具体语句和观点的剖析,发展学生批判性思维;在学习能力方面,学生根据教学活动,主动调试英语学习策略,从学习理解,到应用实践,最后进行迁移创新,遵循英语学习活动观的要求,并进一步促进了英语学科核心素养的发展。
【教材分析】
本单元选自外研社新教材选择性必修三Unit 2 A life’s work。主题语境是“人与自我”,主题语境内容为“工匠精神”,涉及的具体内容为优秀品行、正确的人生态度。
本单元从庄子的寓言故事《庖丁解牛》入手,引出单元话题。围绕美国街拍摄影师Bill Cunningham的传奇人生、京剧大师梅兰芳的艺术造诣、故宫钟表修复师王津的感人事迹等相关子话题进行了深入的讨论,旨在加深学生对“工匠精神”这一主题意义的理解,落实英语学科育人的根本目的。

本课授课目标对象为高二实验班学生。班级共35人。经过一年多时间的英语学习,大部分学生在语言能力、文化意识、思维品质盒学习能力方面都有了一定的进步。学生具有了一定的语言基础和词汇积累,能够学习中外任务优秀品质及事迹,也已初步具备了从阅读中获取与梳理、概括与整合信息的能力,可以较流畅地表达自己的观点。但是,学生对于文章主人公Bill Cunningham比较陌生,针对不同语篇类型进行语言特色赏析、基于语篇深入挖掘作者观点、批判性思维和迁移创新能力的培养还有待加强。此外,通过分析文本,提取、概括主人公的精神品质等活动对学生也存在一定的挑战。
