cultural anthropology is the study of cultural variations between humans. It identifies and analyses how the different facets of our cultures- art, science, belief systems, language and so on- vary and shape the diversity of human life, and vice versa.

Bill Cunningham (1929-2016)

◆ Bill Cunningham was an American fashion photographer famous for his candid photography(抓拍), in particular that taken on the street of New York.

◆ As a fashion journalist in his early career, his photography caught the attention of an American newspaper, for which he reported from 1978 until his death in 2016.

◆ Shunning material wealth throughout his long and successful life, Cunningham's philosophy was '' If you don't take their money, they can't tell you what to do, kid.''

【课标分析】

《普通高中英语课程标准》（2017年版2020年修订）指出：普通高中英语课程的总目标是全面贯彻党的教育方针，培育和践行社会主义核心价值观，落实立德树人根本任务，在义务教育的基础上，进一步促进学生英语学科核心素养的发展，培养具有中国情怀、国际视野和跨文化沟通能力的社会主义建设者和接班人。

学科核心素养是学科育人价值的集中体现，是学生通过学科学习而逐步形成的正确价值观、必备品格和关键能力。英语学科核心素养主要包括语言能力、文化意识、思维品质和学习能力。

英语课程内容是发展学生英语学科核心素养的基础，包含六个要素：主题语境、语篇类型、语言知识、文化知识、语言技能和学习策略。

英语学习活动观是指学生在主题意义的引领下，通过学习理解、应用实践、迁移创新等一系列体现综合性、关联性和实践性等特点的英语学习活动，使学生基于已有的知识，依托不同类型的语篇，在分析问题和解决问题的过程中，促进自身语言知识学习、语言技能发展、文化内涵理解、多元思维发展、价值取向判断和学习策略运用。这一过程既是语言知识与语言技能整合发展的过程，也是文化意识不断增强、思维品质不断提升、学习能力不断提高的过程。
