Last summer vacation, my family and I decided to climb Mount Taishan to watch the sunrise. It was an amazing experience!

We started our journey early in the morning. The weather was perfect, and we were all excited. We saw the big mountains and heard the birds singing. It felt like we were in a fairy tale(童话). But then, things got a little hard. We reached a steep (陡峭的) part of the mountain called the“Eighteen Bends”. It was so steep that my legs felt like jelly(果冻)! My little brother kept saying, “Are we there yet?” But we didn't give up. We took breaks, drank water, and encouraged each other.

After two hours, we finally made it to the top! We were so tired but also so proud of ourselves. The best part was yet to come—— the sunrise! We found a good place on Riguangfeng, which is famous for watching the sunrise. We sat down and waited. The sky slowly turned pink, then orange, and finally, the sun peeked(探出)over the mountains. It was breathtaking!

But just as we were enjoying the scenery, it started to get cold. Really cold!Unluckily, we forgot to bring enough   ▲   . My dad joked, “Next time, we should bring a heater!” We laughed and huddled(挤在一起) together to stay warm.

After the sunrise, we decided to go down. We were so tired that we almost fell asleep on the way. But we still had fun talking about our adventure. What a beautiful sunrise on Mount Taishan! It was an experience we would never forget.
