根据“he said, “teaches us … important lesson in life.” 此句中的“important” 的首字母是元音的发音可知,因此不定冠词应选“an”,故选B。
【2题详解】
句意:他解释说,种下竹子种子后,你几乎五年都看不到任何东西——没有嫩芽,没有叶子,只有光秃秃的土地
everything每件事;something某个;nothing没有任何一个。根据“He explained that after planting bamboo seeds (种子), you see … for almost five years—no sprouts, no leaves, just bare earth.” 此句中“you see … for almost five years …”
And和,以及;But但,但是;So所以。根据“Many people give up during this time, thinking it will never grow. … my grandfather told me, “you must keep on … to witness the miracle (奇迹) of growth.” 两句前后句的句意以及逻辑关系可知,前句说很多人放弃了,而后句说我祖父跟我说要继续坚持可判断前后是转折关系,此处应选But表示转折,故选B。
【4题详解】
句意:但我祖父告诉我:“你必须继续浇水,才能见证生长的奇迹。”
water浇水,原形;to water浇水,不定式;watering浇水,现在分词/动名词。根据“But my grandfather told me, “you must keep on … to witness the miracle (奇迹) of growth.” 这句中“keep on …” 这个动词短语结构分析,keep on后面需要跟动词的现在分词结构,所以此处需选动词water的现在分词watering,故选C。
【5题详解】
句意:然后,在第五年,一些惊人的事情发生了。
in在…… 里面;on在…… 根据“Then, … the fifth year, something amazing happens.”此句中“… the fifth year” 是表达时间,因此应选“in+时间”的结构,故选A
根据“If you stop watering too early,” Grandfather said, “you … this miracle.”
根据“The waiting makes the reward sweeter, and giving up only makes the regret …”
根据“Now when I face … in my studies, I remember the bamboo.”
根据“… true success, I understand that one needs patience and persistent effort.”
根据“No matter … slow things go, I will keep trying until good results come, just like the amazing bamboo in my grandfather’s garden.”

“A friend in need is a friend indeed.” A good friend is like a star—you may not always see it, but you know it’s always there. Friends help us, understand us, and make our days brighter. Let’s read two poems about friendship—one from ancient China, and one from modern America.
An ancient Chinese poem:
I’m leaving now on a boat so light,
When I hear you singing on the shore in sight.
Though Peach Blossom Lake is deep and wide,
It’s not as deep as the love you hold inside.
A modern American poem:
When my friend calls me from the street,
I put away my homework, fast and neat.
I don’t say “Wait!” or “Can’t you see?”
I just run out, happy and free.
We may talk or just walk along,
With a friend, everything feels like ▲ .
Both poems are about simple moments between friends. The Chinese poem is about seeing a friend off, and he says his friend’s love is deeper than a lake. The American poem is about answering a friend’s call right away. One is about goodbye, and one is about hello. But they both show that friends are important and make us happy. The words are easy and true.
24 How does the writer begin the passage?
A. By offering a saying. B. By telling a story.
C. By asking a question. D. By describing a scene.
25. Which picture shows the scene described in the Chinese poem?
A. B. C. D.
26. Which of the following can be put in the ▲ in the American poem?
A. a song B. a poem C. a story D. a wonder
27. What can we learn from the two poems?
A. Friends should always stay together. B. Ancient poems are better than modern ones.
C. Friendship can be shown in different ways. D. Poems are the best way to express friendship.
A 25. D 26. A 27. C

故选A。
C
Jim Hawkins, a young boy who had discovered an old pirate’s treasure map, set sail with a crew to find the legendary treasure. During the voyage, however, Jim accidentally heard that Long John Silver planned to keep the treasure for himself. Jim was about to tell Captain Smollett Silver’s plan when a shout came from above: land had been sighted.
The crew gathered on the deck and pointed at the island.
“Have any of you ever seen that land before?” asked the captain.
“I have, sir,” replied Long John Silver. “I’ve visited it before when I was working on another ship.”
“Can you remember anything about it?” said the captain while looking into a telescope.
Silver nodded, “It used to be visited by lots of pirates. They called it Skeleton Island.” He continued, “You see that hill, there? They called that Spy-Glass because it’s where they looked out for other ships.”
The crew looked and saw a huge hill that was covered by clouds.
Captain Smollett pulled something from his pocket and opened it up. Silver recognised it as a map of the island and felt a rush of excitement. However, he felt disappointed when he couldn’t see a big, red cross: This wasn’t the treasure map that he was looking for.
“This is a very detailed map,” he said slowly. “Pirates definitely didn’t map the treasure.”
Silver pointed at the bottom of the map, “There it is. Captain Kidd’s ship. It means that’s a safe place to leave the ship.”
“Excellent,” said Captain Smollett. “You can go now.”
Silver moved away and walked towards Jim. The young boy felt scared. Maybe Silver knew that he had overheard his plan. Silver stopped and put a hand on Jim’s shoulder. “It’s lovely, this island—perfect for a kid like you to visit. In fact, I’m sure there’s lots of exploring that you could do in those hills.” A frightening smile spread across his face and Jim started to shake.
28. What was Silver’s plan?
A. He wanted to kill the captain. B. He wanted to take all the treasure.
C. He wanted to go to the island by himself. D. He wanted to keep the treasure map a secret.
29. Which of the following may be the map Captain Smollett showed to others?
A. B. C. D.
30. Which word has the same meaning as the underlined word “map” in this passage?
A. There is a map of China in the classroom.
B. You should map out a plan for your future study.
C. The good food here really puts this city on the map.
D. Can you map the student center of our school in the picture?
31. What is the main purpose of Silver’s last words to Jim?
A. To give him a useful suggestion. B. To warn him of the dangerous hills.
C. To scare him with a hidden threat. D. To invite him on a friendly adventure.
B 29. B 30. D 31. C

①Is it safe to eat snow? During the cold winter months, some people enjoy making a special treat: snow ice cream. They collect fresh, white snow and mix it with milk, sugar, and sweet toppings. It looks fun and delicious—but is it actually safe to eat snow?
②Snow might appear perfectly clean, but it isn’t completely pure. From the study of meteorologist Mary Scarzello Fairbanks, snow forms when tiny water droplets (水滴) in the sky freeze around dust or other particles (颗粒). This creates an ice crystal (冰晶), which collects more water and eventually becomes a snowflake (雪花).
③As snow falls through the air, it acts like a tiny sponge, picking up small particles along the way. These can include dust, bacteria, and even chemicals from pollution. Depending on where you live, snow might carry substances from car exhaust (废气), factory smoke, or pesticides (杀虫剂) used in farming.
④These problems can be found in a 2015 study published in Environmental Science: Processes & Impacts. It shows that snow can mix with pollutants like gasoline exhaust, which means your homemade snow ice cream could contain some unexpected and unwanted “extra ingredients”.
⑤Now you know snow is actually a little bit dangerous. So can we eat snow? It depends. In daily life, eating a small amount of snow by accident probably won’t make you sick. Many people have tried a bite of fresh snow without any problems. However, experts do not recommend eating snow on a regular basis, especially in areas with air pollution.
⑥What about emergencies? If someone is lost outdoors without water, they might think of eating snow. But the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) warns that eating snow can lower your body temperature, which is dangerous in the cold. If you must use snow for drinking, it’s important to melt it first and boil it to kill the germs.
⑦So, while tasting a little fresh snow once in a while may be harmless, it’s better not to make a habit of eating it. If you ever need to use snow for water—like during a camping trip or in a survival situation—always remember to boil it first to stay safe and healthy.
32. Why do some people collect fresh snow in winter?
A. To study its crystals. B. To make a special dessert.
C. To use it for cleaning. D. To measure air pollution.
33. What does the 2015 study show?
A. Snow is sometimes safe to eat. B. Snow helps reduce air pollution.
C. Snow is not as clean as it looks. D. Snow ice cream is very delicious.
34. Which of the following shows the structure of this passage?
A. B.
C. D.
35. Which is the best title for the passage?
A. Snow: How Does It Form in the Sky? B. Snow: A Possible Dangerous Winter Poison
C. Is Eating Snow Safe? Facts and Advice D. Is Making Snow Ice Cream Fun? Opinions and Reasons

Recently, there’s a particularly heated question on the Internet and in casual chats: Are you an “I” person or an “E” person? People are talking about it a lot online these days. “I” means introverted while “E” means extroverted. It’s interesting to learn about how an “I” person and an “E” person make friends. Let’s listen to what the following two students say.
Andy, an extrovert
My personality leans toward the adventurous and social—I enjoy trying new things and playing with many friends. For example, Ken and I go to the beach on Saturdays to surf, and on Sundays, I hang out with Tom, eating and riding. We often explore the city on bikes. Larry doesn’t talk much but he’s my best friend at school. I don’t spend much time with him over the weekends because he likes to play video games at home just by himself. I completely respect his space. In fact, it works out nicely, since it frees me up to connect with others. Even though we are not the same, I value his friendship a lot because Larry cares about me and often gives great advice on my problems.
Anna, an introvert
I think nothing is more enjoyable than staying on my own with a great book in hand. I am quiet and I feel nervous when I talk to strangers. However, I do also need time with my two best friends, Sue and Tina. Sue is so full of life that her jokes bring much joy to my quiet days. Tina is more like me and she understands me better than I do. We care about each other and often take long walks to share our feelings. I love both my friends and need their different personalities to make my life more colorful.
Introverted or extroverted, we are all special—no better, just different. Understanding each other’s differences helps us be better friends. So start to make friends and enjoy the precious friendship!
41. Is the topic about “I” person or “E” person popular online recently?

Nowadays, most of the world’s population lives in the city which is full of problems such as dirty air, noise pollution and too much pressure. The heavy work, tall buildings, busy roads and rushing cars make it hard for people to get close to nature. However, going outdoors into nature does a lot of good to people. So don’t be surprised if your doctor gives you a “nature prescription (处方)” for parks instead of medicine next time you go to the hospital. By encouraging patients to spend more time in nature, doctors are developing an effective new healthcare treatment to improve people’s health.
What is a “nature prescription” like? Well, doctors may give patients many different suggestions. Running, hiking, and open-water swimming are all good physical activities that help people to experience nature. Other activities might not be that obvious, such as biking along a path near a river on the way to work. Patients are also encouraged to join in environmental protection projects. For example, they can help build bird houses in forests for birds to live in and raise their young.
Taking part in nature prescribing activities brings patients not only physical but also mental benefits (益处). For example, nature-based activities can help to lower your blood pressure (血压) and make your heart stronger. Besides, spending time in nature makes you feel less stressed and less worried. Not only that, doing outdoor activities with other people can also help people feel less lonely.
“Nature prescription” has been carried out successfully all over the world. For example, in England, the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust runs the Blue Prescribing Project. People with poor mental health in London are invited to enjoy the beautiful wetland environment. Many of them feel much better after the program.
However, doctors and leaders who can plan these activities well are not enough. It’s a big challenge because it takes time and money. Also, some people may not enjoy certain nature activities, so more kinds of activities are needed.
People living in cities are now faced with problems like pollution and stress. Going into nature is good for people but they ____62____.
24. How does the writer begin the passage?

However doctors and leaders who can plan these activities well are not enough. It’s a big challenge because it takes time and money. Also, some people may not enjoy certain nature activities, so more kinds of activities are needed.
People living in cities are now faced with problems like pollution and stress. Going into nature is good for people but they ____62____. So a new health method called “nature prescription” has become popular. Doing more physical activities in nature is suggested by doctors because ____63____. Physically, they lower blood pressure and strengthen the heart. Mentally, they help reduce (减少) people’s ____64____.This method has worked well around the world. But ____65____: We need to train enough professional (专业) people, and create more kinds of activities to fit different people’s likes.
