Do you like history? Do you want to find out the secrets of the past? As we know, history is an important part of human civilization (文明), and it helps us understand the past and shape the future. However, it is not easy for us to experience the past. With the rise of modern technology, digital (数字的) technology has been used to change the way we look at history. It can bring the past to life in a new way.
Firstly, digital technology allows people to take virtual tours of historical sites. This means that people can now experience what it was like to live in ancient times without actually being there. This is an exciting way for students to learn about history and different cultures rather than just reading textbooks or sitting in the classroom.
Secondly, digital technology has helped to better protect historical artworks and documents (文献). Museums can store important documents and artworks in digital forms. This makes it easier to share them with people around the world. What’s more, digital technology can help fix and repair historical artworks, otherwise, they would be lost over time.
Thirdly, digital technology can help historians do research. With useful modern tools, historians can quickly study historical materials and come up with new findings. This has opened up new areas of historical research, which may lead to new discoveries in the future.
All in all, digital technology has changed the way we learn about and understand history. As we continue to develop and improve our technology, we can expect to see even more exciting developments in the field of history.

①You may use your phone to remember some perfect moments in your life. But before you do this, here’s a surprising finding that photo-takers need to know: Taking photos is not the perfect memory-retention (记忆储存) tool as you think. In fact, taking too many pictures could harm the brain’s ability to keep memories, says Elizabeth Loftus, a science professor at the University of California. So you may get the photos but kind of lose memories.
②It works in two ways. Loftus explains: We either forget the duty of remembering moments when we take pictures of them, or we’re so distracted (使分心) by the process of taking a photo that we miss the moment. For example, if you write down someone’s phone number, you’re less likely to remember it at any time because your brain tells you there’s just no need. That’s OK until that piece of paper goes missing.
③But photo-takers don’t need to feel down. Here are some tips on how to make taking photos help, not harm your memories.
④Have someone else take the photos. Ask a friend or family member to take photos for you at important events so you can fully enjoy the activity.
⑤Pay more attention to the details (细节). If you pay attention to the details of a scene before taking a photo, that process can help keep memories.
⑥Look at your photos from time to time. Photos are a useful tool for memory keeping only if we spend time looking through photos, but not everyone can do that.
56.How can photo taking influence people?
A.People are easily distracted.
B.Harm people’s brains seriously.
C.People can remember telephone numbers well.
D.People can remember important moments well.

A.By giving an example. B.By listing numbers.
C.By telling the differences. D.By asking a question.
58.How many ways are there to make taking photos help?

59.What is the writer’s attitude (态度) towards taking photos?

Peterson lived outside the village. As daily habits, he woke up early in the morning and went to a river. He went swimming there. However, he met a very meaningful thing recently.
He saw a man lying with his head on a woman’s lap (膝部). Beside him there was an empty wine bottle. Seeing this, Peterson felt sad and upset, “How terrible he is! One should start a day with good things, but he drank wine and lay on a woman’s lap.”
He went on with his daily activities. A minute later, he heard a voice from the river and found a boy asking for help. Before thinking, Peterson saw that sleeping man jump into the river. He successfully saved that boy. Seeing his actions, Peterson got puzzled and couldn’t decide whether he was bad or not. Peterson went to ask, “Who are you and what are you doing here?”
The man replied, “I am a fisherman. I was tired of traveling for several days. Just when I returned, my mother came to see me with food and water.” Peterson asked why there was a bottle of wine. He smiled, “My mother had nothing but that wine bottle for water. It’s such a pleasant morning that I rested and kept my head on my mother’s lap and fell asleep after having food and water.”

57.How does the writer support his opinion in Paragraph 2?
A.By giving an example. B.By listing numbers.
C.By telling the differences. D.By asking a question.
58.How many ways are there to make taking photos help?
A.2 B.3 C.4 D.5
59.What is the writer’s attitude (态度) towards taking photos?
A.He is against it. B.He never does that.
C.He takes photos as often as possible. D.He wants to make it helpful.
60.Which of the following shows the structure of the text?
A. B.
C. D.

According to the Chinese lunar calendar (农历), winter months include six solar terms(节气): lidong (the start of winter), xiaoxue (minor snow), daxue (major snow), dongzhi (winter solstice), xiaohan (minor cold) and dahan (major cold).
61 On this day, after a year of hard work, people are happy to have a rest and spend more time with their family. The northern part of China celebrates lidong as the small Spring Festival. People have dumplings and mutton soup.
Xiaoxue (in November) and daxue (in December) come after lidong. On xiaoxue, northern China can expect snow and the temperature slowly falls below zero degrees. 62
When dongzhi (in December) comes, it brings the shortest day of the year and the longest night. 63 In ancient times, people would start counting “nine cold periods” (数九寒天) from dongzhi. 64 They believed that after 81 cold days, spring would arrive.
Xiaohan (in January) usually brings the lowest temperature of the year. 65 All Chinese people are ready to welcome the Chinese New Year after dahan. The Spring Festival, China’s most important festival, falls at this time.
A.Every cold period has nine days.
B.Daxue means even more snow and a bigger temperature drop.
