I play with the children once a week. I often speak slowly to them so that they can better understand what I am saying. I like being touched by these children. However, if a child hits me, I will hide my face in my hands and cry out . Oh, this hurts. The child will then know it is wrong to hit others. You might ask if I have helped the children learn some social skills so far? The answer is yes. I remember a four-year-old girl. She used to refuse to be touched by others. But after having played with me for some time, she is now willing to hug everyone and has made some friends. As a robot for the sick children, my greatest wishes to become more helpful to them. I believe that scientists will help me realize my dream.

My dad is a big fan of tea. He always asked me, “Lingling, how about enjoying a cup of tea with me?” I always refused and thought it was too boring. But one day, I accepted, and I was glad I did that.
That day, as usual, Dad made the tea silently. Sitting by his side, I kept silent, too. Through his peaceful moves, I felt the steam (蒸汽) rising from the teapot and cups. After Dad poured the boiling water into the teapot, the tea leaves opened slowly. Then the water turned green little by little, as if someone was drawing a beautiful Chinese painting.
I took a cup and tasted it. It was a little bitter (苦的) at first. But when I tasted it again, the tea left a wonderful taste. I even felt a sweetness.
I suddenly realized that life is just like a cup of tea. The world around us is like the boiling water and the people are like the leaves. The leaves can give off their delicate fragrance (微妙的香味) only through hot water. Similarly, we must also go through difficulties in our life. Maybe we must face bitterness in the beginning, but we can choose to fight for the sweetness ahead.
25. Why did Lingling refuse to drink tea with her father at first?
A. Because she didn’t like her Dad.
B. Because she didn’t have time.
C. Because she thought it was boring.
26. Which of the following is TRUE according to the passage?

My dad is a big fan of tea. He always asked me “Lingling, how about enjoying a cup of tea with me?” I always refused and thought it was too boring.

B. After the bitter comes the sweet.
C. A long journey begins with the first step.

①Could you imagine being in a car driven by a computer, not a human? Recently, China has made a big step toward self-driving technology. Since August, driverless taxis can run on roads in Wuhan, Chongqing and Shenzhen.
②Why do we develop self-driving cars? Self-driving cars have many advantages. They use computers to sense the things around them and make better use of space. This means fewer crowded roads and better parking of cars. For disabled or blind people, self-driving cars can also help them get around more easily.
③According to US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, each year, more than 1.35 million people are killed on roads around the world. Many more are hurt in accidents. Self-driving cars could reduce (减少) road accidents by 90 percent and save governments a lot of money. The main cause of car accidents is human error (错误). By using computers, self-driving cars don’t make poor decisions or lose attention like humans do.
④But self-driving cars aren’t perfect. If something unexpected on the road happens, self-driving cars can’t react as fast as a human driver can. Also, during weather events like heavy snow, self-driving cars wouldn’t see the lines on the road easily. It might lead to an accident. The car’s computer system (系统) would be broken by someone, causing it to crash (崩溃) or change its direction.
⑤It’s clear that there is a lot of work to do to make self-driving cars a common sight (景象) on our roads. And China is taking the lead in making this happen.
29. According to the passage, it is ________ to develop self-driving cars for disabled or blind people.
A. difficult B. creative C. helpful
30. What’s Paragraph 3 mainly about?
A. Self-driving cars could reduce road accidents.
B. Self-driving cars cost a lot of money.
C. Self-driving cars are dangerous sometimes.
31. The purpose of the passage is to tell us ________.
A. that self-driving cars bring both convenience and problems
B. why self-driving cars were invented
C. how self-driving cars work
32 Which of the following best shows the structure of the passage?
A. B. C.
